A recent study of equity redemption practices in Wisconsin cooperatives was undertaken to: 1) describe the current status of equity redemption practices in Wisconsin cooperatives, 2) examine the differences in equity redemption practices across types of cooperatives, and 3) analyze relationships between cooperative characteristics and equity redemption practices.
Equity capital is risk capital and represents members’ commitment to ownership of the cooperative.
