Félix Ysagun Manalo (born Félix Manalo Ysagun May 10, 1886 - April 12, 1963) was the first Executive Minister of the Iglesia ni Cristo, and incorporated it with the Philippine Government on July 27, 1914.
Félix Ysagun was born in the Philippines to Mariano Ysagun and Bonifacia Manalo, but later had his last name changed to Manalo after his mother's death, in reverence for his mother, historians claim, and also to fortify his ministry, the name Manalo meaning 'victory' in Tagalog.
Felix Manalo was afflicted with an intestinal disease and died on April 12, 1963.

He is the fifth child of Felix Y. Manalo and Honorata De Guzman.

Felix Manalo was born on May 10, 1886 in a small nipa house in Calzada, a sito in the barrio of Tipas Taguig, Rizal (now Metro Manila) province, the first child of Mariano Ysagun, a farm worker and fisherman and Bonifaca Manalo, an ordinary but determined housewife.
According to his wife, Honorata, Manalo intimated to her one night before starting to propagate a new faith that the mission given to him by God was specific: to preach the Iglesia ni Cristo.
Manalo himself was threatened with death by the Japanese.

Manalo's studies were interrupted by the death of his mother, when he returned he then began studying at the Presbyterian Bible School until he came upon the Christian Mission group (Church of Christ), where he studied at the Manila College of the Bible for four years.
Manalo then closed himself in with his Bible for three days and when he emerged he gave his shoe business to a friend, took his wife and began his mission to start a new church.
Manalo appears to have developed the messenger doctrine in an effort to maintain and re-assert his leadership in the church thereby keeping control.
