	Eranos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Eranos is an intellectual discussion group dedicated to study of spirituality.
		Eranos, while still in its infancy, came to be associated primarily with the thought of Carl Jung.
		Jung was a regular participant at Eranos, and his conception of mythic archetypes came to be a foundational theory of Eranos.

		In 1933 in a secluded villa on the mountainous shore of Lago Maggiore, in Ascona, Switzerland, a group of scholars, organized by the inspired Olga Fröebe-Kapteyn, gathered around C. 		Ad Eranos per circa 70 anni si sono tenuti convegni durante i quali numerosi protagonisti della cultura europea e mondiale hanno presentato le loro ricerche.

		The ERANOS foundation, based in Switzerland, is an organization that is primarily concerned with the work of Carl Jung, and it's extensions.
		Since Jung contributed to Wilhelm's I Ching, and the book is often used in analysis, the Foundation set-up an I Ching study group from which emerged a new translation of the I Ching.
		In this we see the 'excessive' character of this hexagram - an extreme bias to 'yang-ness' to the extent that it is unbalanced.

		The original Eranos Yijing, compiled under the auspices of the Jungian Eranos Foundation, an East-West research centre in Ascona, Switzerland, was substantially Mr Ritsema's work; Mr Karcher assisted him in preparing it for publication.
