  Man'ari eredar - WoWWiki
The eredar mutated by Sargeras's demonic power are physically different from their original shape, which may be preserved in the appearance of the draenei.
Eredar in World of Warcraft use the same model as the Draenei (see Prince Malchezaar as an example) showing no physical differences, apart from height, skin color and eye color.
Though many demonic eredar were part of both invasions of Azeroth (the War of the Ancients and the Third War), few individuals are known to mortals; only two, the greatest in magic, are commonly known: the Defiler and the Deceiver.

Eredar ARE Draenei Draenei is just a name for the Eredar that didnt become part of the Burning Legion when sargeras offered them.
The eredar, an insidious race of devilish sorcerers, used their warlock magics to invade and enslave a number of worlds.
Eredar were originally Draenei, Draenai were originally a peace loving race lead by 3 leaders (Archimonde, Kiljaeden, and another one who's suppose to be the hero of the Draenei).

2.2 Inconsistencies in Warcraft lore: Sargeras and the Eredar
The Draenei are a race that descends from the ancient Eredar of Argus (the same race as Archimonde and Kil'jaeden).
In contrast, the backstory for the player-character Draenei in the World of Warcraft expansion, the Eredar were the first noble race that was later corrupted by Sargeras' evil and the Burning Legion.

Fans of Warcraft III will remember the Eredar as otherworldly creatures controlling powerful magic, who served the cause of the evil titan Sargeras.
The wicked Kil'Jaeden and the mighty Archimonde, who sought to topple the Night Elves' world tree, were counted among the very highest ranks of the Eredar and the forces of the Burning Legion.
The new characters are easily recognizable as hailing from the Eredar ilk--their huge stature, long tails, hooved feet, and snaking beards all paint an imposing picture.

Eredar has things in their face hanging from their chin.
And just because it is in the bestiary does not mean that it wouldnt be a playable class, Blizz may just as have it there so that people wouldnt think of it being a player race and then be surprised.
I believe the reason he's so big in the ending cinematic for WC3 is that, due to his proximty to the well of eternity under Nodrassil, he sorta...grows.

Eredar are very much like the descriptions, there is a link to the term "broken" since some of them had the leaders hold broken over them but a whsip spirit(april fools anyone?) freed them.
although, eredar would make more sense, seeing as they are uber powerful warlocks, and the new class for the blood elves is that anti-spell class they'd be better matches than draenei.
Eredar are TOO powerful and i think there were only two known Eredar in the Warcraft lore(i said i THINK) and one was Archimonde and the other was Kil' Jaeden.

Races in the Warcraft universe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The most powerful of the Eredar were Kil'jaeden the Deceiver and Archimonde the Defiler, chosen by Sargeras the fallen Titan, to be his lieutenants.
It is revealed that the Draenei were originally a group of noble Eredar (led by the third Eredar leader, Velen) that fled Argus with the help of the Naaru when their race joined Sargeras and his Burning Legion.
However, the pure evil of the Eredar and the Nathrazeim (dreadlords) confused Sargeras and caused him to revel in chaos and destruction.

Though Sargeras' nearly limitless powers were more than enough to defeat the vile Eredar, he was greatly troubled by the creatures' corruption and all-consuming evil.

VN Boards - Eredar the new race?
The story for the new race is that the Wisps that defended mount Hyjal last touched an Eredar so they have now taken that form.
And it would be confusing to call them eredar if they really aren't.
Be sure to note the wording in which the author makes an assumption (and not all that accurate of one) of what the race is based on how it looks and then refers to the new race throughout the rest of the article based on that false assumption.

In the original lore Sargeras was a noble titan who was corrupted by the Eredar (who were a race of evil warlocks) and charged the Eredar with destroying all creation.
In the new lore the Eredar were peaceful, non violent people who were corrupted by an already insane Sargeras and turned into evil warlocks.

But then, Neltharion had not sent his flight out to pluck the demons from their rampaging horde for conversation.

Millennia before Azeroth's recorded history, the Eredar thrived on their homeworld, Argus, mostly unaware of the war between order and chaos that was raging across the universe.
