  Eric Temple Bell
Eric Temple Bell (1883 - 1960) was a mathematician born in Scotland who lived in the USA from 1903 until his death.
He attempted -- not altogether successfully -- to make the traditional umbral calculus (understood at that time to be the same thing as the "symbolic method" of Blissard) logically rigorous.
He is the eponym of the Bell numbers of combinatorics.

Eric Bell was a founder member of Thin Lizzy, playing guitar on their first three albums.
Eric believed that their best material had been used on their debut album, and given the lack of studio and mixing time they felt rushed and slightly disappointed with the result.
Eric knew, however, that he had to escape from the drink and drugs that were freely and widely available for the sake of his health.

 Why I Hate Bell Mobility
I should point out, though, that my problems with Bell aren't directly related to the billing system switch that they've just done, which I know is a bone of contention with many of their customers.
I phoned Bell Mobility to suspend the dead phone and from our point of view we were left with two phones, mine with the Rover number and hers with the Fifi number.
I never had this when we were with Fido, but we had such poor coverage with Fido that we had to switch carriers — we were just going out of digital coverage too much.
