Davis' off-field contributions include the founding of the Eric Davis Youth Baseball Foundation in his native Los Angeles, sponsoring Eric's Outfield Club and making contributions to the Reviving Baseball in the Inner City program.
On Wednesday, Davis was honored by Major League Baseball for sacrifices he has made and inspiration he has provided off the field by naming him winner of the Roberto Clemente Man of the Year Award.
