Conservative Way Forward chairman, Eric Forth, is a living example of the adage: "Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise." In a House of Commons dominated by new Labour members, Eric has achieved something that his Conservative peers should value to a man (and woman) - he gets right up their noses.
Yet in searching Eric's press coverage for the past year, the thing that doesn't come through, perhaps as strongly as it should, is an understanding of Eric's sense of humour and camaraderie with his fellow Conservative MPs in these difficult times.
Eric is exactly the type of Conservative MP we need in the trenches when facing a government with such a huge majority.
