The Erieye Radar System is being developed by Ericsson and SAAB to provide an AEW capability for the Swedish Air Force.
The prototype of the PS-890 Erieye Electronic Scanned Array (ESA) Radar was first flown on a Fairchild Metro III (above), however the operational configuration being delivered to the Swedish Armed Forces from 1996 onwards is based on the SAAB SF340 Commuter Aircraft (below).
More recently the Erieye radar has been chosen as part of the Surveillance of the Amazon system for Brazil, being fitted to the Embraer EMB 145 regional jet aircraft as shown in the concept picture at bottom, with five systems on order as part of the project.

Be they delivered or not delivered, I simply asked for a comparison of range, if Erieye is better then Phalcon or vice versa, thats the case full stop, irrespective if it ever serves in the PAF or not, this is an aviation forum after all.....

Pakistanunited - Erieye (as you know) was tested on Pakistani terrain late last year, all reports suggest that PAF was delighted with the outcome.
At the weekend ACM was asked whether Erieye was compatible with new F-16's, firstly he spoke about Erieye as if it was a done deal, he then stated some changes would be required to the Erieye to make it compatible with the F-16's, he also said PAC could do this itself.
I suspect Erieye is in price negotiations, although the deal may become more complicated as it has been suggested the US has offered Pakistan new E-2's for $1.6Bn or upgraded older ones for $1Bn.

The Y-8 AWACS testbed, based on a Shaanxi Y-8F-400 turboprop transport, is fitted with an electronically steered phased-array (ESA) radar similar in shape and size to the Swedish Ericsson PS-890 Erieye.
It is not clear whether the PLA acquired the Erieye radar and its associated technology from the Sweden, or developed the radar indigenously.
Should the Y-8’s Erieye-like radar have a similar performance to the Swedish system, it would provide a maximum search range of 450km.
