	Ceerigaabo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Erigabo or Erigavo (Somali: Ceerigaabo) is the administrative capital of Somaliland's Sanaag region, which has an estimated population of just over 100,000.
		Erigavo is also the seat for many international and local NGOs.
		Ten kilometers to the north of Erigavo are the remains of a juniper forest, running along the edge of the escarpment which looks down to the Gulf of Aden.

		Across the desert and mountains of the rugged Sanaag region of Somalia lies the city of Erigavo: at 6,000 feet above sea level, it is the highest point in the country.
		The local community played a considerable part in constructing the clinic buildings and is responsible for looking after the structure of the buildings, keeping them clean and providing security.
		Female volunteers from the Erigavo office of the Somali Red Crescent joined up with elders from the town to promote the new clinic and invite people to attend, going around Erigavo with loudspeakers.

		He always remembers it because he worked as an air steward for many years when he was a young man. I remember too sitting in the cockpit of a DC3 with the pilot and the co-pilot flying toward a small city called ERIGAVO located in north eastern part of Somalia.
		I remember one picture in which he is holding the shoulders of the pilot and co-pilot in the door of this lovely plane while it is on the tarmac of the rural airport of Erigavo.
		My father believes this job was the best in his life, and we believe too because Aden at that time was in a golden age.

		This large region has the longest roads in the country yet its roads are the least developed this lack of proper roads coupled with other problems has left Erigavo hospital falling behind other hospitals in the country.
		Sanaag has not fully recovered from the problems brought about by the droughts, and therefore is unable to take care and look after institutions that are important to the well being of the people such as the hospitals.
