Admittedly it was not the kind of win that will have rival title hopefuls quaking in their boots, and the visitors did rather facilitate their own downfall by playing the kind of football that wouldn't look out of place in a pub league, but it was a win!
As it was he sent his first two chances high and wide, but was then bang on target in the eighth minute when Paul Raynor fed the ball into the box and he snapped at it cleanly and decisively to send it past Erith keeper John Odlum.
After the unceremonious departure of Chris Freestone this week, Johnson was given his first start for the Linnets alongside Stephenson and although the ex-Wroxham man looked a way off full match fitness, he did manage to get his first goal for the team.
