The section of railway between Abbey Wood and Erith had lots of level crossings, at Abbey Wood Station, Belvedere Station, Crabtree Manorway, and Pembroke Road, plus two unmanned crossing from Abbey Road onto Plumstead Marshes.
Station the 180 (Abbey Wood via Abbey Estate - Greenwich - Lewisham - Catford - Lower Sydenham Station) is at the Harrow Monorway level crossing which caused lots of delays to the buses in rush hours when there was lots of trains.

Erith and Thamesmead MP John Austin, who is a regular passenger from Belvedere railway station, has labelled the new timetable "barmy" and has protested to train operator Connex.
He said Connex had approached London Underground about opening its Cannon Street station at weekends, but had so far received no response.
Connex also admitted that in order to provide people on the Woolwich line with a regular 15- minute service to London, the trains have to go to Cannon Street.

Erith to Bexley + Tower Bridge
We reached Bexley railway station with only five minutes to wait for the train, and parted company at London Bridge station.
After detouring out to the end of Erith Deep Wharf (now used for nothing more than fishing) and passing a grimy industrial estate, the walk really began as we left the town and followed a causeway beside the Thames.

 Crayford - Network Live
On its way from Erith to Old Bexley, the "London LOOP" walk follows the River Cray across the Crayford Marshes and through the town centre.
A public house in the town centre called "The Bear and Ragged Staff" is well known as a venue for live pop/rock bands; it was briefly renamed "The Orange Kipper" in the mid- 1990s, before public outcry convinced the owners to reinstate the traditional name.
This section of the LOOP is based on an earlier signed walk, the Cray Riverway, and many of the signposts along it still carry the older route's name.
