Over the next 100 years, Ernulf’s descendants were delighted as Newbury doubled in size to become one of the top 20 towns in the country.

I went to Ernulf between 1981-85, was in stevens class, hopper and brockman were the heads, watson and mason were the best teachers.
I would love to hear from anyone that knows where Ruth Chandler is now, she moved away from St.Neots years ago and I lost touch with her.
Jonathon was born in St Neots in 1971, lived in Potton Road and was at Ernulf school in the early eighties.

It was granted after 1066 to Ernulf of Hesdin, one of William's chief followers, who held land in ten counties, and he held in in 1086.
He was executed in 1138; a third Ernulf of Hesdin witnessed a charter in 1141, and quite possibly held Keevil in his turn.
In the Domesday Survey of 1086, Keevil was assessed at 16 hides and there was land for 16 ploughs; 7 hides and 6 ploughs, with 10 serfs, were in demesne, while 18 villeins and 14 bordars had 12 ploughs.

UPDATE - Unfortunately the Chinese classes were cancelled in 2004, due to the local council not renewing their grant.
The St. Neots Chinese Society run a friendly Chinese class at Ernulf School on Sunday mornings, 10am-11.30am.
This class is taught by unpaid volunteers and they do an excellent job.
