		SSAM data from the cataclysmic eruption on June 15 shows a shift in the spectral peak from 0.5 to 1.5 hertz to between 1.5 and 3.5 hertz that is coincident with the onset of magnitude 4+ earthquakes.
		Following the 2252 eruption on June 12, the volcano-tectonic bands began a gradual increase that persisted at station PIEZ until it was destroyed by a pyroclastic flow at 1409 on June 15.
		Band redefinition should be accomplished by widening some bands and narrowing others instead of deleting bands; it is important to keep the entire spectrum monitored, as seismicity may change unexpectedly.

	Remote Sensing of Volcanic Eruption Clouds Using GOES (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
		Images of the relatively minor eruption of Popocatepetl Volcano, Mexico (March 10-11, 1996) were analyzed using a two band technique, and the results show that it is possible to to detect small volcanic clouds using GOES.
		Band 4 (10.2 to 11.2 um) minus band 5 (11.5 to 12.5 um) brightness temperature difference images are used to detect the volcanic cloud, and distinguish it from meteorological clouds.
		The band subtraction technique is demonstrated in the images below, from the relatively minor eruption of Popocatepetl Volcano on March 10-11, 1996.

		The eruption had two major environmental effects which are readily documented from low-Earth orbit: the distribution of vast quantities of sulfur dioxide aerosols into the stratosphere; and the post-eruption mudflows, or lahars, which are recognized as the major natural hazard from the eruption.
		The 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines is well known for its near-global effects on the atmosphere and climate due to the large amount of sulfur dioxide that was injected into the upper atmosphere.
		The 18000 personnel and their dependents were evacuated from the base before the volcanic eruption, as were over 60000 people that were living on the slopes and valleys around the volcano, thus saving many thousands of lives.

		It may be the band in your hat, the pillow you sleep on, the powder you use on your face, the nerve tonic you take occasionally, the polish on your shoes, the soap you use, the morning paper the most commonplace and familiar things possible.
		Why hat bands cause an itchy eruption on the skin of some people and not on others is a mystery which we have not up to the present solved completely.
		A test to see whether it is the hat band which is causing the trouble is to cut a small piece of the hat band out and paste it on the skin with a piece of adhesive plaster.

		David had formed a band called Opeth with some friends from Täby (suburb of Stockholm) and the name was taken from a book by Wilbur Smith where Opet (without the h at the end) was the city of the moon.

		Eruption was more of a constructed, or assembled piece, rather than a continuous composition.
		The longest segment from Eruption, The Bridge sees Akkerman and van Leer 'jamming' along with the band in full flow and one of the few occasions when we hear Havermans on bass guitar, as it was in fact Jan who played the majority of the parts on the Moving Waves album.

		A faint blue patch in the water in the center of the image is a large raft of floating pumice fragments that were ejected from Vulcan during the eruption and clog the inner bay.
		Visible on the east side of the bay are the grid-like patterns of the streets of Rabaul and an airstrip, which appears as a dark northwest-trending band at the right-center of the image.
		Volcanologists and local authorities expect to use data such as this radar image to assist them in identifying the mechanisms of the eruption and future hazardous conditions that may be associated with the vigorously active volcano.

	Mountain Eruption Review
		The band should be remembered in the same breath as Jimi Hendrix and Cream but the world is a cold place and Mountain has not been given the same respect as some of their peers.
		This is a cool way of packaging the band and keeping their music alive in the new millennium.
		The band still have huge riffs and though West has gone down a few sizes in stature, he still is a giant on the guitar.

		Mountain was always one of those bands that were hard to forget with songs like "Mississippi Queen" and "Nantucket Sleighride." They seemed to maintain their popularity forever.
		Eruption maintains the recognizable time-period band colors and album cover artistry, while presenting several live sets from two different eras.
		This happens enough to certainly make mention of, but its not disturbing enough to deter your enjoyment of this two CD set; it was not a crucial factor to me listening several times, I can tell you that for certain.

	08-03-2005 - Marching Band Working Up ‘Vesuvius’ Routine
		The Warsaw Community High School marching band and color guard are taking that historical disaster and using it for their theme this year.
		Band director Mickey Ratliff said “Vesuvius” also is the title of one of the pieces of music they play in the show.
		That’s not to say they are easy, but last year, Ratliff said the marching band “bit off a little more than we could chew.” The marching band this year is pretty young, with almost one-third being freshmen, so Ratliff said they decided to back off on the technical difficulty.

		are another German band who recorded one album with limited distribution and then disappeared, only to find that one album highly sought after, with collectors paying, on average, $500 for mint copies.
		The album is short at 33 minutes; the band chose to include, mainly for cost considerations, only their best material -- a lesson many a band should take to heart, methinks.
		Shame none of the band members pursued their musical career any further, as the potential is clearly here.

		There does seem to be 100's of aor/melodic rock bands at the moment so Dark Sky have a jewel in the crown that should guarantee them sucess.

		The last part of the eruption was the formation of a lava dome at Novarupta.
		Trident produced a series of eruptions from 1953 to 1974 that resulted in lava flows that extend mostly to the south of the summit.

		With a mountain of a man named Leslie West on guitar (he was in a band previously called the Vagrants with his brother) the band played blues influenced power chords and West sang like a hungry lion, man could he growl to answer that big fat loud sound of his guitar.
		I think what made this band so engaging is the fact that they could switch back and forth effectively with the lead vocal position, offering a variety of more tasteful music that many hard rock bands could not afford their listeners.

		My brother had slid his arm behind the girl next to him, one of the singers from the Evolution Band that was doing a double set with the Eruption Band in the upstairs Dining Hall of the Alicia Hotel in Legazpi City.
		The house band at little bar across from our hotel specialized in girl-boy raps and harmonies, which also was the soup of the day at Ratsky's around the corner.
		He and I are both sort of curious about just how the women of the Eruption Band are bending the way they are bending without seriously reconsidering their lives.

	FOCUS Moving Waves reviews and MP3
		"Eruption" is an ambitious piece of music that loses focus (ahem) here and there but Moving Waves is still a powerful album, certainly a gem of the prog crown and the band blend different styles that are cohesive and never clumsy or boring.
		Like on "Eruption", Akkerman's guitar bursts in and he delivers a warm energetic solo without ever treading on any of his band members toes as every note seems to be exercised with complete control and thought to the rest of the composition or its particular section, even that mini drum solo was tolerable.
		Eruption, a 23 minute showpiece is one of the band's finest hours on record.

		We perform at open mikes once in while, but do "the band" mostly because we enjoy the process of writing lyrics, assembling beats, and recording the songs.
		Chocolate Eruption's first album, CE is Back, was completed in September of 2004 after several years of recording, adjusting, and re-recording its sixteen cuts.
		The album is entirely homemade, recorded in dorm and apartment rooms, produced on a CD burner, decorated with inserts and labels produced on a home deskjet printer.
