Description: The mountain range of Erymanthos is the highest one of an extended mountainous area in NW Peloponnisos, consisting of several peaks and characterized by a multifarious relief with many springs, valleys, plateaus and gorges.
The Erymanthos mountain range belongs to the Olonos-Pindos geotectonic zone and the geological substratum is composed of plate limestones with layers of ceratolith and flysch.
The conifer forests with Abies cephalonica occurring on the largest part of the northern slopes of Mt. Erymanthos, are characterized by good structure and dense stands up to 1800- 1900 m, whilst on the western slopes extended calcareous cliffs are present.

We arrived at Tripotama to find Erymanthos in very high flow at 1.25m That was our second try, as a month ago we came to find the same commiting level (in this level, according Greco guidebook, we should expect continuous class V at the 2nd gorge).
After the confluence with the main fork, the gradience eased up, the flow trippled and we speed-run the remaining 4km of fun class II to Erymanthos (Tripotama).
The water was steaming from the difference of temperature, as the sun was setting behind the ridge.
