The main organisation for Esperanto in the UK is Esperanto-Asocio de Britio (EAB: Esperanto Association of Britain).
Previously the main organisation was the British Esperanto Association.
An important organisation is the Esperanto Teachers' Association, which represents not only Esperanto teachers, but all those who wish to support the teaching of the language.

Esperanto is the working language of several non-profit international organizations such as the ''Sennacieca Asocio Tutmonda'' and the United Citizens Alliance, but most others are specifically Esperanto organizations.
Esperanto can be described as "a language lexically predominantly romanic, morphologically intensively agglutinative and to a certain degree isolating in character" (Blanke 1985).
Esperanto speakers are more numerous in Europe and East Asia than in the Americas, Africa, and Oceania, and more numerous in urban than in rural areas (Sikosek 2003).

It is housed with the EAB office at Barlaston, near Stoke-on-Trent.
EAB members can buy copies of the audio cassettes for £3.00 each (including UK PandP), but if your order includes several short recordings these will be combined onto a single cassette wherever possible, to minimise cost.
Selected Esperanto recordings on tape, CD and DVD are also available from the EAB Bookshop.
