	Kiruna
		The 'Esrange' is located 45 km from the town of Kiruna and has seven permanent pads able to launch the largest sounding rockets, including the Black Brant 9, Skylark 12, and Castor 4B-boosted vehicles.
		Esrange's well-equipped launching facility is able to deal with most types of rockets, including large rockets such as Skylark 12, Terrier Black Brant and Castor 4B.

	Giant NASA Balloon Lifts Of From Esrange Space Center
		The purpose of this long duration flight is to study positron abundance in cosmic ray electrons to determine the extent to which the large scale structure of the heliospheric magnetic field is important in the transmission of galactic cosmic rays through the galaxy.
		The balloon is now floating at an altitude of 41.5 kilometers (25.7 miles) and has expanded to 1.2 million cubic meters in volume.
