Minister Eves referred to the 15,000 illegal machines presently operating in Ontario, of which 40 are in operation in Thunder Bay, and that number comes from a report from the police chief of Thunder Bay.
Mr Essa mentioned it and you mentioned it as well in your brief that there was a sense that the patrons want this to happen.
In Ontario, this activity generates in the range of 54,000 jobs, which compares favourably to 20,000 jobs in the Canadian brewing industry, 55,000 in logging and forestry and 53,000 in mining and quarrying.

 ESSA - Selected Projects
The range of woodland caribou in Ontario has been severely restricted by development of the land base; forest operations continue to expand northward and there is concern for the status of the caribou herd in Ontario.
ESSA was retained to convene a public advisory panel tasked with providing advice to the OMNR regarding the public's concerns over the guidelines, and to develop a broader strategy for the protection of caribou in northwestern Ontario.
To this end, ESSA facilitated a series of four two-day panel meetings to clarify issues related to the guidelines and to develop consensus on a strategy for an approach to caribou management.

 ESSA Technologies - Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS) - Prognosis
ESSA developed several models through a process involving interdisciplinary workshops, the creation of prototype models and model documentation, examination of model behaviour, followed by further testing, refinement, and preparation of training materials (see links under FVS Extensions at left).
ESSA is working with the BC Ministry of Forests, the University of British Columbia, and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to help calibrate FVS for forests in parts of BC and Ontario.
ESSA maintains and develops the Canadian interface to FVS/Prognosis.

John E. Snell born 1844 died in Michigan 1935 he is buried in the Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron.

Please note that non-residents may obtain free membership if they can present a property tax receipt issued by the township of Essa in addition to their driver's license with a current address clearly stated on it.
Non-resident fees (residents from neighbouring municipalities, temporary or transient residents) are charged and are non-refundable.

My great great grandmother Maria Lytle Milligan born 1841 Sligo Ireland was a widow with 2 small children when she married Joseph Snell in Cookstown, Essa, Simcoe County Ontario in September 1869.
The family lived in Tuckahoe NY--a suburb of NYC in the 1950's.
