In December, Estonian Air saw a 14 percent increase in cargo volumes, carrying 135.8 tonnes of cargo and 53.8 tonnes of mail.
On the Tallinn-Vilnius route, Estonian Air carries 5.6 tonnes of cargo per month, 60 percent of this is transit cargo to Vilnius.

Estonian Air went on to claim that the aircraft, a Boeing 737-500, "can fly safely with only one operating motor, and there was no danger to travellers." An "independent commission," however, was "to investigate the details of the case."
