Founder Eugene Fodor was a keen traveler, but felt that the guidebooks of his time were boring, uninspired collections of quickly outdated facts and figures.

Eugene Fodor (born March 5, 1950 in Turkey Creek, Colorado) is an American (Bowed stringed instrument that is the highest member of the violin family; this instrument has four strings and a hollow body and an unfretted fingerboard and is played with a bow) violin virtuoso.
Fodor made his solo debut with the Denver Symphony at the age of ten, playing the (German composer (1838-1920)) Bruch Concerto and began touring as a soloist while still a young teenager.
He went on to win first prize in the International Paganini Competition in (A republic in southern Europe on the Italian Peninsula; was the core of the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire between the 4th century BC and the 5th century AD) Italy in 1972, at the age of 22.
