Patrick Kangley and family, of Chicago, were in the city yesterday in attendance at the funeral of Mr.
Patrick may be a cousin to John Kangley of Streator, Ill. In 1899, the death notices of John Kangley mention that John was a cousin of Patrick Kangley of Chicago.
Patrick Kangley worked as a foreman at a tar plant from 1895-1900 and later was a chemist from 1900-1911.

Patrick Breslin, who, as the article states, was expelled from the course, became a translator and remained in the Soviet Union when the others who had finished the course returned in 1930.
Patrick Breslin was refused an exit permit by the Soviet authorities.

Patrick Eugene Joseph Prendergast (1868—July 13, 1894) was the assassin of Chicago, Illinois Mayor Carter Harrison, Sr.
Prendergast was under the illusion that if Harrison won the election he would receive an appointment as Corporation Counsel.
Prendergast's story is one of the sub-plots in Erik Larson's non-fiction book, The Devil in the White City, which argues through example that Prendergast was indeed insane.

Claims that "the U.S. government does not employ or sponsor these men" remind me of similar government denials from the mid-80s when Eugene Hasenfus was shot down while delivering military supplies to the Contras and captured by the Nicaraguan government - from Theodore Draper's "A Very Thin Line: The Iran-Contra Affairs"
As might have been expected, a denial reflex took over in official circles.
