Several species are shared with Corsica, like Tyrrhenian painted frog (Discoglossus sardus), Tyrrhenian Tree Frog (Hyla sarda), European leaf-toed gecko (Euleptes europaea), Pygmy Algyroides (Algyroides fitzingeri), Bedriagas Rock Lizard (Archaeolacerta bedriagae) and Tyrrhenian Wall Lizard (Podarcis tiliguerta).
Several Tyrrhenian species can be found on both islands like Tyrrhenian painted frog (Discoglossus sardus), Tyrrhenian Tree Frog (Hyla sarda), European Leaf-toed Gecko (Euleptes europaea), Pygmy Algyroides (Algyroides fitzingeri), Bedriagas Rock Lizard (Archaeolacerta bedriagae) and Tyrrhenian Wall Lizard (Podarcis tiliguerta).
There are several interesting places to go to on the island and for the salamanders the central mountains west of Corte is to recommend.
