Euphoria and Dysphoria in Norway's Vestfold Dialect - part I
Emotions are often differentiated in terms of whether or not they can be seen by others.
Emotions are most commonly referred to as "folelse", which would actually translate into "feeling".
Terms of emotion and interpersonal relations, in particular, represent an area of considerable concern in psychology, literature, and cross-cultural communications.

All subjects were placed into varying environments that would elicit different emotions, such as anger or euphoria, and the intensity of their emotional responses was measured, while a placebo was used to show that lack of epinephrine did not elicit an emotional response.
By the theory, a full-fledged emotion requires both the factor of arousal (i.e., sweating or rapid pulse) and the factor of a cognitive label to identify the source of arousal and correctly establish the form of emotion.
She also unveiled evidence that premenstrual mood (including positive and negative emotions) is most closely associated with the given situation, and is not tied to different phases of biological cycles.

 Bipolar and Irritability
The main implication for busy clinical practice is that energized activity and irritable mood associated with racing thoughts represent the modal experiences of hypomania among bipolar II outpatients; euphoria is neither sensitive, nor pathognomonic, in the diagnosis of these patients.
With regard to the pathophysiology of state switching in pediatric BPD, data in control subjects indicating that attention regulation plays a role in emotion regulation may be germane.
Potential foci for research on the pathophysiology of pediatric BPD include reactivity to standardized positive and negative emotional stimuli, and the interaction between emotion regulation and attentional processes.

 Chris Cornell
Cornell gave the San Francisco crowd a preview of his first solo album, Euphoria Morning, which comes out Sept. 21, while reprising stray solo tracks from the past and a lone Soundgarden song.
Self-admittedly striving for the diversity of the Beatles, Cornell has succeeded in making music that breathes the same kind of emotion with a healthy '90s updating.
But it was the soundscape of Cornell's Euphoria Morning music that really fueled the show's momentum.

 Chicago Reader Movie Review
In Rivette's case, the vulnerability, even fragility of his performers is every bit as important as the professional polish of Weis's; in both cases, the directors are using their actors as instruments for conveying euphoria.
Sometimes it's a matter of Rivette stylizing movement--the actors' as well as the camera's--and often it's simply a matter of imparting emotion; a great deal of the film's solidity as a musical has to do with the way it explores the joys and sorrows of being alone and of being with someone else.
But what Rivette has that his American critical and directorial counterparts often lack is a poetic and abstract appreciation of what that technique yields and what that glory consists of, especially in relation to everyday life--an appreciation of the dialectic between reality and fantasy that's always been behind the potency of French cinema.

CD Baby: MIKE BORGIA: Blood and Moonlight - from rocketradio
Surprisingly, New York singer/songwriter Mike Borgia’s claim to delivering “vocals reminiscent of Chris Cornell” is fairly accurate, though his delivery is closer to Cornell’s acoustic work on his solo debut, Euphoria Morning than the Herculean lungpower that defined Soundgarden’s entire body of work.
You can still feel the pain and emotion in his voice in this song though, and in all songs for that matter.
Borgia's first effort is mostly acoustic (though the breakout rock-and-roll numbers are good as well).

This may be compared with bipolar depression which has the two poles of depressed mood and mania (i.e., euphoria, heightened emotion and activity).
For a major depressive episode a person must have experienced at least five of the nine symptoms below for the same two weeks or more, for most of the time almost every day, and this is a change from his/her prior level of functioning.
Although major depression can occur at any age, the average age for developing the illness seems to be in a person's mid-20's.

The masterpiece of this album though, "Pearl of Euphoria" is an almost 7 minute journey of Jim Morrison meets an agressive and angry Def Leppard vibe which reminds one of what happens when the band writes on pure emotion and vibe.
The fact this album is better overall musically then many of the grunge bands shows that grunge is a fad, and will eventually die out, leaving the really talented bands in place progressively developing their own music.
Slang is complete departure from Leppard's previous work and shows just how versatile and talented these guys really are.

For all this to work, that is for all this theory of a-process and b-process to generate emotional behavior, a-process is assumed to be stronger than the b-process and a-process is assumed to habituate over repeated stimulation and b-process is assumed to sensitize.
It does a remarkably wonderful job of explaining human emotional reactions by using only two processes: habituation and sensitization!

 Emotion
The conclusion most frequently drawn is that, although some forms of general arousal are easily labeled in terms of some emotional state, there is no hope of finding in physiological states any principle of distinction between specific emotions.
Schacter and Singer found that these subjects tended to interpret the arousal they experienced either as anger or as euphoria, depending on the type of situation they found themselves in.
Erotic love can bring with it the murderous jealousy of a Medea, and even a commitment to the idea of justice may foster a capacity for destructive anger which is nothing but "furor brevis"-- temporary insanity, in Seneca's arresting phrase.
