  Indian Ocean (band) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The band had its genesis in 1990 when Susmit Sen met Asheem Chakravarty and their somewhat focused jamming sessions resulted in a few concerts.
The whole band also had the privilege of jamming with renowned Japanese trumpeter Terumasa Hino in Delhi, and played with some great Japanese jazz musicians during their Japanese tour in 2002.
The album was released in May 2003, and the band had their first video made, were MTV Artists of the Month.

Their bassist was the most energetic of the 3- member band as he kept jumping around throughout the performance and enticed a guy (a chink in fact) to get up from his seat and jump wildly in front of the seated and dead audience.
They were the best and tightest band of the evening and are one of the very few Indian bands who’ve made it big without playing any soft bullshit or stooping down to make way for pop, but rather by continuously hard, brash and in your face HM.
Next were the ever-popular band Canzona who also have to their credit a lot of success in the Indian rock within a short span of time and just like Nightmare on Elm Street in terms of success in rock competitions.
