Euphoria, an Effingham, Kansas based rock band combines straight ahead hard rock music with traces of funk drumming to form a their own style of music uninhabited by the mainstream rock/alternative music today.
In 1996 Euphoria recorded again at Sixth Sense Studios, this time their plan was to release a full length album.
Euphoria’s first single off their new CD, "1,000 times before", has been chosen for the soundtrack of an upcoming movie, "To the Cukoo’s Calling".

Leftover Salmon's second major label album doesn't have even one ounce of consistency with regard to the styles of music in each track; however, what bleeds through each track is the band's love of their music, whatever music they happen to be playing at the moment.
Admittedly, the album get's off to a pretty poor start, "Better" is presicely the kind of bland, generic jam-band studio track that the band seems to be all about not being at all about.
Euphoria is a euphoric album whose only shortcoming is its shortish (42 minutes) duration.

Lights of Euphoria: album reviews and ratings
Over the years, Torben worked with an extensive list of musicians/vocalists who landed their voice to Lights of Euphoria, the more notable of which being the contribution of Jimmy Machon (Godheads) who provided all the vocals on the albums Blood Brothers ('97) and Voices ('99).
Euphoria's vocals are rough, but completely undistorted and totally legible, which can be a source of distinction in a genre where distortion is often the name of the game."
Shadows Merging is a Lights of Euphoria remix of the Run Level Zero track released in 2001, while Dyskonnect is a God Module song remixed by Torben.

The KISSFAQ - KISS Chronology/Timeline © Julian Gill
The album has the working title "The Harder They Come", while the recording sessions in LA are not the happiest time for the band used to the New York atmosphere with Gene being unable to drive and Paul's guitar being stolen.
The contract defines solo albums as equaling 1/2 of an album with minimum number of songs to equal an album being 5, thus confirming that the solos were not just something done to keep the band together in 1978.
The album is initially targeted at the KISS Expo circuit and is later reissued with the new title "Euphoria"...

Their fourth album, ISHQ (it's pronounced, "ishk", not an acronym) continues along the same lines as Private Power, but is much more mature in its melding of recordings of traditional ethnic folk and spiritual songs with rock instruments.
Parsons later remixed the album for CD re-release, but showed very good taste by limiting this process to a couple of added solos and synthesizer textures, which fit seamlessly in with the original recordings, and the restoration of Orson Welles' Poe recitations, recorded during the album sessions but omitted from the original mix.
The album's songs deal with various aspects of women, but mainly in terms of male stereotypes and pop cliches, either as idealised objects of desire or unfaithful tormentresses of the fragile male ego.

 EUPHORIA! -- by Timothy Lynch
Once in a while an album is released that erases barriers and preconceptions and categories.
If this album is called "Euphoria" it is because that is how Salmon feel during and after the spawning ritual.
Great for dancing, driving or any old time, "Euphoria" is sure to bubble under in so many "market niches" that the very categories we generally use to segregate types of music on the radio will need to be rethought.

I have seen zero television ads for the album, and though there are 3 PBS stations in the area, I've never seen either the edit of the promo DVD aired on any of them, nor have I heard the promo-only 'Stuck Inside A Cloud' on the radio at all.
Albums tend to debut higher and then fall sharply (I hope Brainwashed hangs in there during the holidays, at least).
I also am miffed that Capitol/Paul released the live album and DVD the week of the annivesary of George's death; it would have been appropriate (and better sales-wise) to have released "Brainwashed" on Nov. 26, the week of the anniversary, and pushed McCartney to Dec. 3.

This album was originally released on the now defunct `Artists House' label and I have to say that executive producer Chad Kassem has wrought the biggest improvement over an original I have ever heard.
This album appeals on two levels; firstly Witherspoon's havy jazz background makes him easily accessible to the blues novice making this a excellent primer for the tentative blues fan, and secondly Witherspoond appeals to the connoisseur with his wonderful intonation, timing and sense of occasion.
This album possesses all the qualities of his early work, but with a refinement that doesn't bleach the overall picture.

However, the space whisper vocals of the superior Upon the Solar Winds are noticeably absent, and instead the band creates their mood music with the usual swirling synths and effects-laden guitar but no vocal accompaniment.
Highlights from the 50-plus minutes include the three-phase 'Amplified Ohm,' in which synth master Zero produces some very cool flute-like sounds, and the finale 'Celestial Hysteria,' with a fast-paced riff reminiscent of Gong's 'Master Builder.' The track 'Arwr Rhithwelediad' is either based on a Welsh folk song, or their typewriter got stuck.

 Delerium: album reviews and ratings
Their first album was released in 1987, a debut which was followed by seven similar sounding records.
Capitalising on the success of Semantic Spaces, the duo embarked on a much more ambitious project, their 1997 release Karma, where they worked with Kristy Thirsk, Sarah McLachlan, Jacqui Hunt, and sampled extracts from Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerrard songs.
Having said that, the album is still reasonably enjoyable, if you can get your head around the fact that Bill Leeb and his trusty sidekick Rhys Fulber have actually re-united to produce such a poppy album in the first place.

Sarah McLachlan, Kristy Thirsk, Camille Henderson and Jacqui Hunt definitely contribute to this celestial album which is close to becoming a masterpiece for the ages with ethereal sounscapes of sensual new age/trance beats; not to mention Gregorian style chantings of actual monks, made infamous on songs like the Egyptian "Rememberance" and the Middle Eastern "Lamentation".
This album released in 1997 by the two boys of Delerium (Bill Leeb/Rhys Fulber) still sounds as innovative, inspiring and amazing as it did when I first heard it 8 years ago.
But this album 'Karma' paved the way for Delerium to change from the dark sounds to a lighter, more mainstream contemporary sound and this album heralded that change moreso than the albums 'Poem' or 'Semantic Spaces'.
