Euphoria (Def Leppard album) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Euphoria is the ninth album by British hard rock band Def Leppard, released in 1999.
The album marked a return to their signature sound made famous by the band in the 1980s.
Nonetheless, the tour in support of Euphoria was a comeback of sorts, stretching from May 1999 to September 2000.

With "Euphoria's" third album "Gully" the group has made it clear that they are creating a new genre called "Hindrock", which is very different from Indipop.
The very next year Euphoria returns with a second album called "Phir Dhoom" and the first single "Maaeri" is mature compared to "Dhoom Pichuk" and expresses the feelings of anger, sadness and regret.
The track is typical Euphoria material and tells you to forget the Taj Mahal and banks of the Ganges - and take a walk through the `gully' in the `mohalla of the pounding heart.

 total.EUPHORIA @ [drunken victim.com] > Introduction
Euphoria set the standard for Australian dance music in the early 1990's, paving the way for acts such as Madison Avenue, Origene and Disco Montego, with their hit singles Love You Right, One In A Million, Do For You and their smash hit album Total Euphoria.
Euphoria's songs featured heavily in the TV show E Street and were a massive success on dance floors in Australia and around the world, scaling the Australian Top 40 as if there were no competition.
Euphoria's original line-up included writer, keyboardist and vocalist Andrew Klippel who was joined by the stunning vocals of Keren Minshull and the eye-candy of Holly Garnett (who's vocals complemented Keren's ideally).

Euphoria is high on my list of influential Six Degrees artists because of their ability to intermix live instruments and electronics.
Euphoria has instilled in me a belief that, in the right musicians' hands, guitars can bring a level of musical intoxication previously unknown to me. Beautiful My Child only has one disappointing feature: the tracks are too short.
Hopefully, Euphoria and Six Degrees are already hard at work preparing at least a CD single of remixes for us to enjoy.

 Artist Profile - Euphoria
Euphoria rose from obscurity in 1999 when the track "Delirium" from the self-titled debut release broke onto the American Triple-A radio charts, becoming a favorite on the playlists of influential stations like Los Angeles' KCRW, Denver's KBCO and San Francisco's KFOG.
Probably the biggest departure on this album is the inclusion of full-length vocal tracks by singers Tina Dico and Tracy Bonham, whose fourth album, blink the brightest, was released on Zoë/Rounder Records in 2005.
Though Ramm's aspirations for Euphoria and for this third release very much include continued work in the worlds of film and television, he is cautious not to create his music solely with any one market in mind.

Euphoria features Def Leppard returning to melodic pop metal after the alternative-flavored Slang, which was a strong album but perhaps a bit too severe a departure from what fans have come to expect from them.
Euphoria is an overall fun album featuring some great songwriting and has lots of energy and solid playing.
EUPHORIA is a return to the classic Def Leppard sound, following the unfortunate detour of their previous record, SLANG.

 Six Degrees Records - Euphoria
The bluesy, organic sound of the acoustic and slide guitar is not what you'd expect to hear in the hi-tech world of modern electronica and trip-hop but that's exactly what made the album Euphoria such an unexpected success in 1999.
The album has a definite contemporary sound, thanks in part to William Orbit and Madonna's drummer Steve Sidelnyk, who provides both live drumming and electronic percussion programming, and Garry Hughes' state-of-the-art production and keyboard skills.
And in general, Ken Ramm acknowledges, "Euphoria seems to be falling into the rock section of the stores, not electronica." But that hasn't stopped the electronica world from taking notice.

The Daily Vault Album Reviews : Euphoria Morning
The weird thing about Euphoria Morning is that the songs that Cornell writes himself are the ones that show him covering new territory.
But it is the ones that he co-wrote with Alain Johannes and Natasha Schneider that have more of a Soundgarden feel to them.
Euphoria Morning is a good CD, but I get the feeling that Cornell hasn't quite hit his stride as a solo performer, so let's hope for continued growth on subsequent efforts.

I was deeply disappointed in Snow, which Feel Euphoria should be compared to, as on Snow the sound of the album was Neil Morse and the band called Spock's Beard doing a thrilling tribute to why prog rock turned people off in the first place.
In a lot of ways that album was all over the place as Feel Euphoria, but it's stronger moments were stronger and more defined while their excesses were simply annoying.
Had the band decided to stay in 40 minute territory the album could have been significantly tighter and while some hardcore listeners would not be satisfied no matter what, there is a lot on Feel Euphoria that could have gone to make this a more convincing album.

Those expecting a slab of metal from Euphoria Morning will be disappointed, but it's hard to feel sorry for them, since they were evidently not really listening to the last few Soundgarden records.
There's no question that it's a rock album, but it's a shaded, textured rock album, lacking the grinding sludge and furious rock that were his previous band's stock-in-trade, yet it's undeniably of a piece with Superunknown.
Thankfully, Euphoria Morning doesn't have the shiny arena rock gloss that Michael Beinhorn gave Soundgarden's masterpiece.

The album Adrenalize came out in the early 90's when there was a new wave of music....it was called grunge.
Slang is not a “dreaded” album because of the songs on it, it is more like the Leps attitude since that album has turned Leppard onto a dead end road.

Taken as a whole, the first post-Neal album, “Feel Euphoria” seems to me a blend of new style, Ryo-driven jams and the “Old friend” S.B. style we know and love.
If this was a conscious effort to establish a new identity without completely abandoning their signature sound, then they have succeeded.
The first track, Onomatopoeia (Words named for the sound made, for those who were sick that day and missed Language Arts class) is the hard rocker on this album, where a fragile guy deals with an infarct of clicks and buzzes in his brain before rediscovering the key to sanity in the heart and soul.
