 Average White Band
AWB also topped the US album chart but this euphoric period was abruptly halted in 1974 by the tragic death of Robbie McIntosh following a fatal ingestion of heroin at a Hollywood party.
AWB, also known as the "White Album" in deference to its cover art, was a superb collection and paired the band's dynamism with Arif Mardin's complementary production.
Although their 1973 debut album, Show Your Hand, showed promise, it was not until the band was signed to Atlantic Records that its true potential blossomed.

AWB, also known as the White Album’ in deference to its cover art, was a superb collection and paired the group’s dynamism with Arif Mardin’s complementary production.
The group secured farther success with ‘Cut The Cake’, the title song to a third album, but subsequent releases, despite an obvious quality, betrayed a creeping reliance on a proven formula.

VH1.com : Soul Coughing : Doughty Emerges From Soul Coughing Clean, Upbeat
Doughty— who as a military brat was rarely called by his first name, Michael — finally crossed his first threshold as a solo recording artist, releasing his first, independent album, Skittish, on his own Web site, superspecialquestions.com.
These days, the all-improved, completely clean Doughty more closely resembles a strapping Swede about to hit the ski slopes than the intense, downtown New York guy whose distinctive, keening bark and darkly witty songwriting was bolstered by the euphoric, bold musicianship of his Soul Coughing bandmates.
But then I realized that the album had its own life in the world.

Epinions.com - Comments on 'Midian, COF masterpiece.'
If you buy one Dimmu album, make it their last, Purtanical Euphoric Misanthropia (PEM), its my alltime fav.
In my opinion Dani's voice never sounded better than that album, (and far better on that than Dusk...) but that's just my opinion...however Midian is my second fav, and I agree whole-heartedly about your review.
His performance on Dimmu Borgir's PEM album is truly amazing.

 Neumu - 44.1kHz
The whimsical "Heroes and Villains" and the euphoric "Good Vibrations," both re-recorded for the album, retain their brilliance despite the absence of the other Beach Boys (although it is hard not to wonder how the album would have sounded if the late Carl Wilson could have contributed his ethereal vocals to the songs).
The album is separated into three musical suites, each anchored by a classic Beach Boys song: "Heroes and Villains," "Surf's Up," and "Good Vibrations." Each section is lush and fluid, the songs flowing into each other so that it truly feels like listening to a pop symphony.
The album is an eccentric and dazzling fusion of the Beach Boys' trademark sunshine harmonies with jazz, doo-wop, musical nursery rhymes and old-timey standards — perhaps what it would sound like if George Gershwin wrote pop songs today.

 Dreamcatcher
Mariam Stockley from Adiemus loans vocals to 'In a Ocean of Joy' and 'Life', both of which are superb, uplifting tracks that open and close the album, respectively, in euphoric style.
This is the only single to feature from the Dreamcatcher album and unfortunately it's a bit of a weak affair.
The Single Edit is the cut down version of that which features on the album.

 Amazon.ca: Music: Euphoria [Import]
Euphoria is a euphoric album whose only shortcoming is its shortish (42 minutes) duration.
Leftover Salmon's second major label album doesn't have even one ounce of consistency with regard to the styles of music in each track; however, what bleeds through each track is the band's love of their music, whatever music they happen to be playing at the moment.
Admittedly, the album get's off to a pretty poor start, "Better" is presicely the kind of bland, generic jam-band studio track that the band seems to be all about not being at all about.

 Amazon.co.uk: Music: Electric Version
This is the album that should be playing in the perfect bar, its euphoric qualities akin to the joys of hedonism.
The opening track on that album is probably alone, the best pop single ever made ever (in the history of the universe, ever)- sort of Suzi Quatro meets The Smiths after listening to Beauty & The Beat and a Cheap Trick-compilation.
This whole album is another pop treat, from the Adam&the Ants/Glitter Band feel of New Face of Zero & One, to the sideways Stranglersisms of It's Only Divine Right to the lovely closing track Miss Teen Wordpower.

Sugababes - Taller In More Ways : album review
Take the edgy yet euphoric single Push The Button, a winning portrayal of subtle female come-ons going unnoticed by their man. All three girls excel here, and it's by some distance the best song on the album.
Sugababes - Taller In More Ways : album review
Not only that but they seem to be able to cut off record company manipulation before it goes too far, not content to allow their careers to be dictated.

 [ Adrian's Album Reviews ] The Smiths
The album is not as euphoric musically as the highlights on The Queen is Dead ('Boy With the Thorn in His Side', 'Bigmouth' and 'There is a Light') but this is probably my fave Smiths album overall.
Obviously, any Smiths album has more depth, quality, thought, humour, passion, intelligence and musicality than 95% of the competition but in their canon this is not as strong an album as either THE SMITHS or MEAT IS MURDER.
Out of the 4 Smiths studio Albums IMO Strangeways was and still is their most underrated album, failing to match the other longivity as classic Rock n' Roll albums.

 Review Unbreakable by The Scorpions
Arguably the most enjoyable track on the album is "Borderline," a euphoric 80s-style stomp-along with an instantly accessible melody, and (best of all for retro fans) a repeated fade-out chorus ending, something you probably haven't heard in a while.
If you tap into the wisdom of your Microsoft Word thesaurus, you'll discover that synonyms for "unbreakable" include "permanent," "rugged" and "unchangeable." And all of those adjectives apply when it comes to the latest offering from this German hard rock quintet, their first studio album since 1999's Eye II Eye.
But it's all about the zeitgeist, and the time is right for an album like this.

Amazon.com: Bloom Remix Album: Music: Sarah McLachlan
Whereas "Remixed" was, for the most part a collection of four to the floor, euphoric and hugely uplifting club remixes, interspersed with the odd ambient endeavour, "Bloom" an altogether more eclectic affair.
The album opens with the pounding Junkie XL remix of the second single to have been lifted from Sarah's "Afterglow" opus, "World on fire".
I love Sarah McLachlin, and I don't even mind her remix albums, but this album was the worst thing I have ever listened to.

Sonic Youth: Sonic Nurse: Pitchfork Review
Murray Street's "Rain on Tin" was a euphoric rollercoaster ride that seemed to capsulize to the band's entire career.
It might have dawned on some fans only after hearing Murray Street that Sonic Youth's mean age was then roughly 45, and that the group arguably hadn't produced a record of such caliber since they were in their late 20s.
Unlike Murray Street, the album isn't so much an expansion of form as a return to it: Here, Sonic Youth harken back to the noisome atmospherics of their late-80s work, only handing it a more crystalline production treatment that smacks of more recent releases like A Thousand Leaves.

Moby "plays" for a broad audience
Moby crosses musical boundaries in his latest album Play.
While Play can be euphoric, it can also be difficult for all music lovers to handle.
Play is also nominated by National Public Radio as one of the "300 most important American musical works of the 20th century." Moby is quickly catapulting his mammoth success overseas to the U.S. Part of Moby's success comes from some of his more introspective tunes on Play.

Section A's 'Seventh Sign' is a complex mix of hard rock fused with an aggressive blend of progressive arrangements that will your senses in a state of euphoric splendor.
Album highlight has to be the epic 'Tomorrow' which changes pace with style throughout the song.
Though Torben wanted a full vocal album, there are many moments during 'The Seventh Sign' when he stakes a strong claim to being one of the best seven stringers in the business.

Compare Prices and Read Reviews on Substance: The Singles 1980-1987 - New Order at Epinions.com
New Order spawned massive hit after massive hit and indirectly gave birth to modern dance music as we know it, emerging blinking from the gloom of their earlier incarnation to produce archetypal, euphoric dance hits which spawned the world of Madchester and the Hacienda.
In 1987, their achievements up to that time were catalogued and duly released on Substance a kind of sister album to the Joy Division singles collection of the same name, and a double CD of the bands hits up to then and their b-sides.
New Order manage to pervert the whole sub-genre sufficiently to make it stand out against the general chaff of the decade style forgot, and this song still sounds fairly vibrant and fresh.

BBC - Manchester Music - New Order - Retro
That, however, would miss the point, really, as New Order's tracks, reworked and wrung out by a selection of remixers, have formed the basis for many a euphoric night (not least in the New Order financed Hacienda and Dry Bar).
The strange thing about New Order is that they defy categorisation, and Club is exhibit A in proof of that.
Pickering's selection process must have been an unenviable trawl, given the number of New Order original tracks that fit snugly on the dancefloor without even starting on the plethora of remixes.

 EMOL: The Goo Goo Dolls
Opening with the euphoric "Laughing" and ending with the heartfelt "Two Days in February," the album's wide array of tunes only hinted at what the band was capable of in the songwriting department.
In 1991, the Goo Goo Dolls attracted major label attention when their third album, Hold Me Up was released under Metal Blade's distribution deal with Warner Bros. Records.
As the reign of "Iris" continued, the Goo Goo Dolls recorded their sixth album, Dizzy Up The Girl, marking the debut of drummer Mike Malinin.

First euphoric press reactions regarding "Hellfire Club" already pointed out the undeniable fact: With this new album, EDGUY surpassed themselves once again and will definitely occupy high chart positions everywhere.

The Mick Sinclair Archive: Katrina and the Waves
Given that 'Walking On Sunshine' was the summer hit that epitomised the whole sugary genre you would be justified in anticipating a album stocked with gen-u-ine JANGLY STUFF – soaring melodies, euphoric lurve songs and full-frontal FUN!
To the ten inclusions, he contributes a mere two, one being the album's best track, a discreetly appealing slow-burner called 'Lovely Lindsey'.
'Waves' sounds lazy rather than ever being pleasantly 'relaxed' Through its course we're variously insulted by the Andrew Lloyd Webberisms of 'Sleep On My Pillow', the tired and obvious 'Mr Star' – a determined effort to break into the under five's market.

Amazon.co.uk: Something Wicked This Way Comes: Music
I suppose the only way you could dislike this album having been a fan of their previous work is if you are the sort of person who would dislike Barry Adamson's 'Murky World of...', and hence you probably wouldn't appreciate the cinematic lounge-funk-jazz hybrid that the backing to the Herbaliser beats has become.
Admittedly, this album is a slight departure from the old Herbaliser sound, being less sample-based and with more emphasis on instrumentation - but the cheeky samples from old movies and public information films are still there, as is the clever scratching, catchy beats and awesome guest rappers.
Whether it be the chilled out and euphoric sound of 'Something Wicked' which features the haunting vocals of 'Seeming To.' or it's incredibly funky 'Turnaround' this CD is simply...Amazing.

Nonetheless, he fills each album with enough catchy hooks, imaginative sampling and euphoric boogie-down beats to make up for years of stoic dance-floor redundancy.
Each album favors something different in his bag of goodies, but it's always the same flavor of treat.
Despite (or because) of that album's saturation exposure, the follow- up, Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars stays close to the house with some furious funk-inflected racket ("Mad Flava," "Drop the Hate") and chattering hip-hop mixes ("Star 69," "Song for Shelter").

The last record was the first for our new label, and we wanted to make a completely over the top ambitious album because it might have been the only chance we'd get to make the sort of album where we could hire engineers and expensive studios for a crazy length of time.

Album Review: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
The album opens with a jarringly noisy burst of circus-pop, with shouts of "Clap your hands!" echoing over the top, which I imagine many people will find completely irritating.
At the time of writing this review, their self-titled debut has already started experiencing the obligatory anti-hype backlash, which is impressive for an album that still hasn't been reissued past its initial 2000 disc run (yes, I downloaded it, but I'm buying it the moment it hits the stores).
Ideally, questions like "Is this album any good?" shouldn't be any different before or after hype, but it's hard not to feel the effects of hundreds of glowingly positive reviews weighing down on you - and I feel pretty confident that Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is going to be just that well received.
