The European route E5 (or more correctly the E05) is part of the United Nations International E-road network.
As the M74 the route passes through Gretna where the E18 route (the A75) joins, before turning into the A74 for a short distance, which subsequently turns into the M6 through England.
The final UK section of the European route is a short distance on the M3 motorway which ends at Southampton and the English Channel.

UPDATE (1/25/05): For those who decide to pursue the dissection route, I found a website with step-by-step photos of the dissection of an A70 (presumably the process would be nearly for the A75 and others in the series).
The E18 error code is a lens error that is generally caused by physical contact with the lens barrel on the camera.
E18 error is cause because the lens is not extracted or extended all the way.

The N1,M1, M11 and N11 form part of the E1 Trans European route which runs from Larne in Northern Ireland via Dublin down the East coast of Ireland to the Iberian Peninsula via Lisbon and ending at Seville in Southern Spain.

E18 and immediately we were passing over splendid bridges with excellent views across the many skerries along the coast.
With our bikes tucked away it was time to explore the City after catching a last glimpse of the full eclipse from somewhere in Turkey on the BBC European TV.Never thought I would see Patrick Moore live from England whilst in Danmark.
We are at this point nearly 2,200 kilometres from home even taking the most direct route from here.
