For the first time in the history of Eurovision, the Song Contest will include a Latvian group that does not use any musical instruments at all — and yet their performance is entirely live and free of any backing tracks.

As confirmed by Greek broadcaster ERT, the 2006 edition of the song contest will take place in the Olympic Stadium’s Indoor Hall which is part of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex.
The running order of the songs will be determined by a draw to be held during the Heads of Delegation meeting in Athens, on 20th and 21st March.
