I agree with big Al but if there was something you wanted to know just ask.I know a few of us have kept/bred them for a while now.The best thing you can do in this circumstance is study the animals natural history and go with your gut.Luckily Eurodactylodes has been in captivity for years.

Ultramafic - rocks that are dominated by minerals high in magnesium and iron, and which tend to be dark-coloured rather than pale.
Conservation status: Eurydactylodes symmetricus is recorded from four locations in the south of the island, in both maquis shrubland and closed forest habitat, each site record potentially represents an isolated sub-population.
The species overall distribution as it is known satisfies the criteria for a small distribution (area of occupancy <500km2), but it is likely to be recorded from additional locations with further survey work.

This should provide the Eurydactylodes with more resting places.
The cork bark was placed over a branch which provided cover/hiding place.

 New Caledonian Giant Geckos -
I think it serves several purposes, not least of which is a threat to intruders and also just a way to communicate...
All Rhacodactylus geckos have that patch of lamellae at the tips of their tales, there are some other genus that do as well, one of which is eurydactylodes I believe.
Are there any geckos that you know of that like swimming?
