  Lordship of Sidon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sidon was captured in December, 1110 and given to Eustace I Grenier.
The lordship was a coastal strip on the Mediterranean Sea between Tyre and Beirut.
Julien Grenier sold it to the Knights Templar in the 13th century, but it was later destroyed by the Mongols after the Battle of Ain Jalut and its ruins were captured by the Mameluks.

Baldwin of Bourcq was thus the first cousin (once removed) of the brothers Eustace III, Godfrey, and Baldwin, whom he followed on the First Crusade (First Crusade: A Crusade from 1096 to 1099; captured Jerusalem and created a theocracy there) in 1096.
Upon the death of Baldwin I in 1118, the crown was offered to the king's elder brother Eustace III, but Joscelin of Courtenay insisted that the crown pass to Baldwin of Bourcq, despite Baldwin having exiled Joscelin from Edessa in 1113.
Eustace Grenier acted as regent in Jerusalem, and defeated an Egyptian invasion hoping to take advantage of the king's absence.
