Euston tube station is on the City branch (for Bank) and the Charing Cross branch of the Northern Line.
This station is heavily congested at peak periods, due to large numbers of commuters from north-west London and main-line stations to Rugby colliding with long distance travellers arriving from, or leaving for, stations on the West Coast Main Line.
The station is set back much further than the 19th century original and since the construction of additional office buildings in front of it, it is effectively screened from view from the road.

Adjacent to the hotel is an entrance to Euston Railway station and adjoining underground, it couln't be handier.
Since it was close to Euston station (which is on one of the bigger tube lines) it was a good location.
Though we used the underground station during the evening, it is a lovely walk from the hotel into central London passing several small parks on the way.

In opting to take the ScotRail Caledonian Sleeper train leaving at five past nine in the evening of Friday the 6th of August from London Euston railway station to Inverness was again a winner.
I awoke early next morning, which looked like we were entering the "Pass Of Drumochter" several miles north of Blair Atholl approaching Inverness-shire at Dalwhinnie where the 3,087 feet Carn na Cain brought us into clear blue skies at Badenoch south of the Monadhliath Mountains after "steaming" through the Pass in a very thick mist.
I left Inverness just after noon that Saturday catching the train to Nairn, and, by the time that I had looked through the digital photos that I took of Inverness, the train had pulled into the railway station.
