Seppo Korpela (SK) from the Institute of Plant Protection, Agricultural Research Center of Finland described the search for treatments that were effective for control of both Varroa mites and tracheal mites (Acarapis woodi), the latter an increasing problem in Finland with a rising colony mortality due to infestations.
Eva Rademacher (ER) from Institut für Zoologie, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany presented results from systems for long term evaporation of formic acid, where the target dose is 6-10 grams per day and hive body over a three weeks period.
Seppo Korpela from Finland had followed Antonio Nanettis protocol in five apiaries and the results presented were consistent with Swedish results although there were a tendency in the Finnish results that 2.1% OA was better tolerated by the bees compared to the Italian solution.

Sariola was married from 1970 to writer Tuula Sariola (original surname Korpela).
She continued Susikoski series in Susikosken paluu, (1992), Susikoski Orilammella (1994) etc. Her love novel Ampiaispesä (1997) depicts her relationship with the author, who was noted for his patriotism, bohemian lifestyle, and generosity.- Mauri Sariola died in Helsinki on August 9, 1985.

Virgil was born on Feb. 22, 1916, to the late Antone and Catherine (Hermsen) Vander Velden in Little Chute.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Eva, Howard; one son, Robert (Bev) Vander Velden, Green Bay; three daughters, Ellen (Tim) Murphy, Milwaukee; Jane (Dick) Korpela, Schofield; Lois (Marcus) Nichols, Lakeside, Mont.; four grandsons, one great-grandson, and one step-great-grandson.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry and Wilmer Vander Velden; and one grandson, Matthew Korpela.
Her works were soon followed by translations from Frans Emil Sillanpää, Juhani Aho, Jorma Korpela, Eva Kilpi, Pentti Holappa and Olavi Siippainen, Mauri Sariola and Hilja Valtonen.
According to Kai Laitinen, a prominent scholar in literature and a researcher in Estonian-Finnish literature relationships, the decisive change in bringing out Estonian literature in Finland was marked by two anthologies.
The first one, Soome lahe tagant (“From Behind the Gulf of Finland”, 1968), compiled by Eva Hyvärinen (Lille) and Endel Mallene, introduced three new authors who represented the new Estonian prose unknown to the Finnish public.

The ideas of ENHICA were developed by Dr. Marja Järvelä from the University of Jyväskylä and Dr. Mikko Korpela from the University of Kuopio after workshops and meetings with Nigerian colleagues.
The ENHICA project was seen as the first multi disciplinary attempt to comprise independent studies on natural sciences, sociology as well as informatics, based on a shared community oriented approach (Figure 1).
Bertil Wennergren provided further confirmation by taking the matter to “the high court” (comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html) but, as he noted in his comment, “no solution to the actual problem emerged.” Jukka Korpela summed it up:
