The Evangelical Mennonite Conference is a Canadian Mennonite body of evangelical Christians, not to be confused with the Evangelical Mennonite Church, a body in the midwestern United States.
The Evangelical Mennonite Conference began in 1814 in the Molotschna settlement of southern Russia as the Kleine Gemeinde, a group of Low German-speaking Mennonites.
Klaas Reimer (1770-1837), a Mennonite minister from Gdańsk, settled in Molotschna in 1805.

The Canadian Japanese Mennonite Scholarship was created in 1985 by Mennonite Central Committee Canada as an expression of regret for injustices suffered by Japanese–Canadians during World War II.
At a congress of evangelical churches in the Philippines Sept. 18–21, church leaders set a goal to plant 20,000 new viable churches by the end of 2005 and 30,000 more by the end of 2010 thus doubling the current total of 50,000.
