We believe that old Drury born 1780 was orphaned and he and a brother lived with Joseph and Eleanor Mahon so we think that was Drury's mother maiden name but we have not been able to prove anything on this.
Joseph & Margaret Whitmore are buried in a private graveyard about 5 miles NW of Whitmire, SC in Laurens County.
All we know is that he was a painter and my husband seems to remember visiting him a few times when he was small (he's 56 now) at a store of some kind that he had in Laurens.
