The beginning of rail road construction by the state in 1845 changed the relationship between the government and parliament and between voters and deputies; the opposition increasingly looked across the state's borders and demanded that the country's problems be seen the wider context of all German y.
Something must be done, but without allowing anything to go wrong--this conclusion from the events of 1847 all the more applied to March 1848.
To be sure, the authors of various petitions to the king, government and parliament avoided anything that might allow the movement to escape their control; their demands therefore were more moderate than many calls already made in January or February occasioned by the upcoming opening of the legislative session.

SALEM, Ore. - In what has been for several years the largest cross country event on the West Coast, the Willamette University Invitational here at Bush's Pasture Park, the George Fox University Bruins placed 16th in the women's 5K college division race while the men were 18th in the men's 8K college division competition.
The Willamette meet this year featured 874 runners, with men's and women's Open divisions for Division I college athletes and track clubs and individuals, and the two College division races.
Chico State made it a complete sweep by taking the men's event with 45 points, and again had the top two runners, with Tyler Graff taking first in a time of 24:15.97, less than a half a second ahead of teammate Patrick Boivin at 24:16.25.
