  Leicestershire Breweries
Everards was founded in 1849 by two brother's, William and Thomas Everard.
Everards continued operations in both Burton and Leicester until 1931 when the Leicester operation was discontinued.
The decision was made to purchase a parcel of land in Leicestershire and in 1995, all of Everards ales were once more brewed within the boundaries of Leicestershire.

 Collector Cafe - Register
Everards Brewery Ltd has a very complicated history – probably unsurpassed in the annals of British brewing.
This was ideal for Everards purposes and brewing was transferred to the new premises in 1898, although the Bridge Brewery remained in use for another 3 years.
However, this was somewhat short-sighted as in 1931 all brewing was transferred to Burton-upon-Trent and the Southgate Brewery became a distribution centre.

 The Origins of the Welby-Everards
The Welbys and the Everards are both old Lincolnshire families and possessing copies of both pedigrees it seemed appropriate for me to put on record the story of our origins for the information of our family.
I am sending copies of this account of our origins in the first place to all those now of age who were born Welby-Everards, to Sir Bruno Welby, 7th Bart and head of the Welby family, Barbara Lady Welby his mother and Charles Welby his eldest son.
In addition copies to Ranulf A. Welby, whose father produced the Welby pedigree, to Madeline Everard, granddaughter of Henry Everard of Gosberton the only member of the Everard family with whom I have been in touch, and to Richard Agnew, my eldest grandson and our current family genealogist whose thirtieth birthday it is today.
