Everything to Everyone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Everything to Everyone is the eighth full-length album by Barenaked Ladies and their seventh studio album.
This album came out in three packages: regular album, limited edition album with 3 bonus acoustic tracks, and a special edition with fancy liner notes, and a bonus DVD called Everything Else; comes in a cardboard case and protective plastic sleeve.
Yes!!!" (actually cut from album; appears on the Everything Else disc) expressing thinly-veiled criticism of the Bush administration and of the war in Iraq.

Albums with colors in their names were definitely the way to go, so I started to make a list.
Most surprisingly of all is the fact that this is Jay-Z's last album and that he is retiring from the music business.
So even though we may not have heard the last from Jay-Z, the album then draws to a close with an all star "shout out", to everyone who's helped him on his way to the top.

 COLLEEN Everyone Alive Wants Answers
Female electronic musicians are still a surprisingly rare occurrence despite the likes of Mira Calix or more recently Mileece, already on Leaf, demonstrating that electronic music put in the hands of a woman becomes a more sensual and poetic medium.
Everyone’s Alive Wants Answers explores very similar territories, expanding these rich soundscapes and ornate melodies over forty minutes, in which music boxes, children’s voices, acoustic guitars, glockenspiels and crackles swirl around with astonishing consistency, emphasising the hypnotic nature of the music.
There is an element of cinematic grandeur to this album, but all the compositions appear extremely self-contained, as if nothing could come to disturb the blissful atmospheres.

This session was supposed to produce an album but the album never came out because there was already too many soundtrack albums in the stores by Elvis and the Colonel Parker thought it wasn't necessary to release an original material album.
The rest of the album is not that good and you understand why they were left-overs when you hear them.
This album is a satisfying winner that at first glance just seems to be a hodge-podge of left-overs drawn from 4 sources, but somehow it works.

Much of his work here is so good that it would not seem out of place on one of Leonard Cohen's early albums.
The album is essentially a collection of songs about love, with not a trace of syrup or tweeness.

the-reservoir - Earlimart Everyone Down Here Album Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-11)
The first Earliamart LP was a punky affair but on Everyone Down Here, Espinoza is clearly influenced by the whole post-rock scene and the shoe-gazing bands of the early 90's, and more mainstream guitar pop.
The highlights are few and far between though, as Espinoza sadly favours quirky indie-pop on the rest of the album.
The album also contains short electronic instrumentals that sound good enough to have been worked on and extended.

 Aloha - Here Comes Everyone - openingbands.com
What this album lacks in improvised jam sessions, as characteristic of their older albums, is largely blown away by delicate melodies and intricate songwriting.
Where as past albums are very heavily jazz influenced, Here Comes Everyone seems to be more influenced by contemporary classical styles reminiscent of Phillip Glass as Aloha continues their post-rock adventures.
This album, in all honesty, is one of my favorite albums of the year, and for those interested, Aloha comes to C-U early this February.

Their second album under that name, EVERYONE IS HERE is unsurprisingly full to overflowing with Beatles-derived pop hooks, elegantly unfurling melodies, and irresistible good vibes.
Few will be surprised that the disc has much in common with the amiable pop-rock of Crowded House, mixed with the somewhat more atmospheric, introspective approach of the Finns' solo recordings.

Brian Burton) takes a cappella tracks from Jay-Z's The Black Album and composes new beats for each song using only samples from the Beatles' "White Album." The result, the aptly titled Grey Album, is an ingenious hip-hop record that sounds oddly ahead of its time.
Even though DM is limiting his sounds to the two source albums, Grey is hardly a straightforward mash-up record.
The album will not be sold commercially, but copies are in circulation via the Web -- at press time, representatives for Jay-Z and the Beatles could not be reached for comment.

Coldplay’s label, Virgin, has slapped some pretty onerous DRM on the group’s new album.
I wonder if most fans who read these rules will be wise enough to blame corporate, or whether they’ll just decide to dig up a band whose label treats them like customers, not crooks?
I suppose Coldplay bears ultimate responsibility for signing a contract that at the very least allowed wiggle room for this kind of thing and then abiding by it rather than going all Fiona Apple on them, but the real wankers here aren’t the ones making a career of imitating Radioh - ahem!
