The Evil Atheist Conspiracy is a fictitious usenet organization commonly known by its three-letter acronym: EAC
The EAC started out as a joke on the *.atheism Usenet newsgroups when fundamentalist Christians started talking about how atheists were conspiring to take over the world.
According to the atheists, trying to point out to the fundamentalists that there is no such conspiracy was a complete waste of time.

An atheist is a member of a highly secretive religion, Atheism, devoted to private worship of the ultimate, all powerful god Athe.
The goal of atheists everywhere is to improve society by persuading people to join them in their faith through cunning arguments explaining that they are better than anyone else.
An atheist could also be somewho/somewhere willing to break through the web of lies and deceit that masquerades as free thought these days and admit that the evidence for the existence of God is almost entirely the word of crazy fools, madmen and liars.

Atheists deserve a chance to form "anti-faith" communities just as much as believers have to form their churches.
There is a tragedy in thinking that atheists are somehow inherently evil simply due to their lack of belief.
The attitude that people are inherently evil and have to be restrained from doing horrendous things is one problem that has always bothered me. Also, the insistence that faith is a virtue to be encouraged is a thing that I consider not only odious, but downright dangerous to any person interested in personal freedom.

Their concerns, I fear, are justified; a significant fraction of my atheist friends have been cast out and ostracized by their own parents and families because of their religious doubt.
Atheists do not want to suppress religion; as a misunderstood and often hated minority, we know the value of religious pluralism, tolerance and the separation of church and state.
This is why so many of the more outspoken atheists have joined to defend science and reason in the classroom from creationists, anti-science postmodernists and all those who would conveniently brush aside or suppress scientific findings that they find disagreeable.
