Evil genius - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Evil Genius is an archetype or even a caricature that is a recurring staple in certain genres of fiction, particularly comic books, spy fiction, action films and cartoons.
From Wile E. Coyote to Professor Moriarty, the evil genius is a common adversary and foil of the hero.
The evil genius is different from the mad scientist, in that the mad scientist is more 'amoral' than evil.

Genius - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Stories of a genius in a given field being unable to grasp "everyday" concepts are abundant and of ancient vintage: Plato in the Theaetetus offers a picturesque anecdote of the absentmindness of Thales.
Kant's discussion of the characteristics of genius is largely contained within the Critique of Judgement and was well received by the romantics of the early 19th century.
In this context, the plural of "genius" is "geniuses." The form "genii," the plural of the word in Latin, is the plural of a different kind of genius: the aforementioned guardian spirit of Roman mythology.

Evil Genius (PC) Preview at GameSpy.com
All told, there are five main components to Evil Genius: constructing your base, training various minions, setting base defenses, researching your doomsday device of choice (there are three), and managing your "world domination screen," which is where you'll take on various missions set around the world (there should be roughly 70 in the final game).
Part of the joy of Evil Genius should be setting traps to ensnare various good guys as they come snooping around your island.
Inside the base, we watched as another good guy tripped an alarm, at which point huge fans appeared and blew the agent helplessly from hallway to hallway until he was eventually dropped through a trap door into a fiery pit.

Evil Genius is all the Dungeon Keeper 2 crowd has had to look forward to since that franchise came to an undeserved end, and it's on that great game that this mediocre one is based.
Lair-building in Evil Genius is also fun, but it includes some bizarre flaws that really hurt the overall effect—due in part to the fact that lair efficiency appears to be of no importance whatsoever, and there's no need to display the level of care and exactitude so necessary in the game's spiritual predecessor.

 Evil Genius Review - GamersHell.com
Evil Genius is a new real time strategy game that puts you in charge of an evil organization.
Which one you choose has no impact at all on the game itself but since your avatar will be running around your base at all times and will need to be protected from attempted assassinations you better grow fond of him or her.
A true evil genius needs a hidden base of course so your minions – in the beginning you only have access to the versatile but weak and not very loyal construction workers – better start blasting tunnels into the islands mountain.

Evil Genius is a flawed strategy title very much in the Dungeon Keeper mould, but that doesn’t mean there’s no fun to be had.

"Evil Genius" is a refreshingly different and clever game that has a hearty dose of personality, but its does have a few shortcomings.
Also, while it includes a decent training scenario, "Evil Genius" can be challenging because lots of simultaneous micromanaging is required.
Even with these shortcomings, "Evil Genius" is a fun and challenging game that should please strategy fans looking for something offbeat and fun.
