Our summer trips are usually wonderfully unorganized and open for last minute changes and detours.
My favorite authors are: Ewa Bialolecka, Andrzej Sapkowski, Terry Pratchett, J.K.Rowling.
My all time favorite books are Tkacz Iluzji (Weaver of Illusions) by Ewa Bialolecka; Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery; and Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov.

So far I've only read two of the concerned authors (the self-evident Mr Sapkowski and Anna Brzezinska, whose featured story belongs to the most delightful pieces of short fiction I've ever read).
Ewa Bialolecka, Janusz Zajdel and Andrzej Pilipiuk I know at least by name, but the rest of are veiled by mystery.
Hope to lift the veil in the upcoming days.

Ewa Bialolecka's "Tkacz Iluzji" (not available in english, sorry)
Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" series - I guess everyone knows these
