		Ce fut une soirée exceptionnelle que ce concert du nouvel an de l'OSR entièrement dédié à Gioachino Rossini (extraits d'Ermione, Semiramide, Tancredi et l'Italiana in Algeri) avec en tête d'affiche Ewa Podlès qui eut droit à une ovation inhabituelle de la part du froid public genevois.
		Il est vrai qu'Ewa Podlès a tout pour elle : d'abord un timbre rare de vrai contralto (et non de mezzo-soprano qui assombrit) sans pourtant que les aigus ne lui posent le moindre problème alors que les notes graves, elles, sont quasiment masculines !
		Mais si Ewa fut la reine de la soirée, il faut également relever les mérites d'Alberto Zedda.
