Donald Ewen Cameron - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Donald Ewen Cameron (1901-1967) was a Scottish-American psychiatrist.
It was during this era that Cameron became known worldwide, serving as the first chairman of the World Psychiatric Association, as well as president of the American and Canadian psychiatric associations.
Cameron is claimed to have been a freemason although this has not been proven.

 Clan Cameron
The Camerons having, as already stated, acquired nearly all the lands of the clan Ranald, Ewen Allanson, who was then at their head, supported John Moydertach, in his usurption of the chiefship, and thus brought upon himself the resentment of the Earl of Huntly, who was at that time all-powerful in the north.
Sir Ewan Cameron, commonly called Ewan Dhu of Lochiel, was a chief alike distinguished for his chivalrous character, his intrepid loyalty, his undaunted courage, and the ability as well as heroism with which he conducted himself in circumstances of uncommon difficulty and peril.
The family genealogies assert that the actual ancestor of the Cameron chiefs was Angus who married a sister of Banquo, Thane of Lochaber, slain by Macbeth in the eleventh century, and present a long line of chiefs descended from this worthy, who distinguished themselves highly in the wars and other historic events of the country.

 Chapter 5
Ewan Cameron's studies of the effects of vitamin C in cancer patients initiated modern interest in this area, and are arguably the most important of their kind.
Cameron was initially interested in vitamin C because of a suggestion from a reader of Cameron's book Hyaluronidase and Cancer, that it might be an inhibitor of hyaluronidase.
Cameron also argued that the need for controls was reduced because of the inevitable progression of the disease in the patients he was treating.

One of the earliest Camerons mentioned is Allan MacOchtry, or son of Uchtred, who is called the chief of the Clan Cameron in the reign of Robert II.
The Camerons having acquired nearly all the lands of the clan Ranald, Ewen Allanson, who was then at their head, supported John Moydertach, in his usurption of the chiefship, and thus brought upon himself the resentment of the Earl of Huntly, who was at that time all-powerful in the north.
Profiting by this imprudence, the Camerons and Macdonalds pursued Lovat, against whom their vengeance was chiefly directed, and having overtaken him near Kinloch-lochy, they attacked and killed him, together with his son and about three hundred of his clan.

Chapter 3: Case Study of Scientific Corruption
These patients were then compared by Cameron and me to patients with the same kind of cancer at the same terminal stage who were being treated in the same hospital but by other doctors--doctors who didn't give vitamin C, but instead just gave conventional treatments.
Cameron's terminal cancer patients lived far longer compared to the ones who didn't get 10 grams a day of vitamin C. The other patients lived an average of six months after they were pronounced terminal, while Cameron's patients lived an average of about six years.
It is as if Dr. Cameron did not know how to determine which hospital the patients were at, what kind of cancer they had, which stage of cancer the patients were at, and which doctors treated which patients.
