		Cartoons we thought of as The Best Ever back then might really embarrass us today to even be in the same room with.
		As is well-documented, the whole Ewok presence in Return of the Jedi was hated by fans as being to patronizing to the kid market and too cutesy for the Star Wars universe.
		Ewoks lasted longer than Droids, as both shows were expensive to make, and the networks only decided on continuing with Ewoks past the first season.

		I recall that in early drafts ond concepts of the trilogy, George Lucas had in mind that the entire saga was as seen though the eyes of the droids who have existed for hundreds of years.
		I believe that the Droids cartoon made use of this theme back in the day, though obviously not too far back in history thanks to the appearance of bounty hunter Boba Fett in one episode.
		As for the EWOK cartoon, I see no reason why it couldn't take place around the time just prior to the Empire's invasion of Endor to build the second Death Star as seen in RETURN OF THE JEDI.
