Blue and Whites: Purely Blackburn Rovers - Ewood Park (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-08-23) |
 | | Ewood had already been built eight years earlier by four local entrepreneurs though, as the all-purpose sports ground used to host athletics, dog racing and trotting before it was primarily used for football when Rovers moved in. |
 | | The facilities at Ewood were upgraded in 1903 when roof coverage for 12000 spectators was provided, and a year later a new stand was constructed along Nuttall Street to allow 5000 more spectators to enter Ewood, as well as new changing rooms, offices and a boardroom being added. |
 | | But it was not until Jack Walker's investment in the early 1990's that Ewood Park saw a complete redevelopment; at an estimated cost of £25 million, three new stands with two tiers were built to take the overall capacity of Ewood up to 31 367. |
