Exeter teaches far too many subjects than they can hadnle for such a small Uni, and cuts in the departments which drain the finances of the toehr are clearly needed.
Universities and the government should ingage in discussion to resolve this problem by encouraging young people to take interest in chemistry and to make chemistry a more competitive subject, not close down one of the few departments that we have, that we should be building on!
Since the University requires students in order to recieve funding the general declining in trust towards the University will mean that fewer people will apply to Exeter next year for fear of their course being cut.
