Last year, the mutant named Blink stormed Diamond’s Top 100 Comics Charts with her self-titled Marvel Comics mini-series, scoring numerous fans in the process.
Killed in the "regular" Marvel Universe during her time with the X-Men, only to live on during the alternate "Age of Apocalypse" timeline, Blink has quickly become a fan-favorite, as reflected by the consistent demand for issues of her hit mini-series.
Exiles #2 is found in this month’s issue of Previews with two covers: Cover A (MAY011637, $2.99) by McCone and McKenna, and Cover B (MAY011638, $2.99) by J.H. Williams III.

exiles -- superhero soup -- no flying, no tights
Each reality the Exiles experience has elements that feel like home in the X-Men universe, and combined with soap-opera relationships forming among the regular crew, you'll find yourself wanting to pick up the next book almost as soon as your done with this.
Most of Weapon X accepts the mission as just another chore, as it is their nature to do the dirty work the Exiles are too compassionate to take on, but Mimic, Blink and the rest refuse their orders, and with the help of an unlikely ally, attempt to find an alternate solution.
A short side story devoted to Nocturne's bereavement for her lost love is thrown into to remind us that there's some serious coupling going on here, and even though they're mutant superheroes fighting through crazy, different realities, they're also human beings deep down, and need the same things we all need...

When the seven top-selling artists in comics defected from Marvel Comics in 1992 to form Image Studios, they looked to Malibu to distribute their comics, taking advantage of Malibu's superb, grassroots marketing approach.
The first Image comic, Youngblood #1 (later the foundation of the Awesome Comics line), was the first independent comic to become a number-one seller, and, thanks to Image, independent comics have been a fixture in the top ten sales lists ever since.
Today, Marvel Comics and Rosenberg are working together to develop the Malibu characters for a variety of film and television projects÷including Prime, in development at Universal as a feature film÷which Rosenberg is executive producing.

Marvel attempted suspense by keeping the mysterious "fifth member" unrevealed, but since the four men were known going in, it was obvious that they were going to resurrect Jean Grey for the title.
While crossovers were used in comics at that time (especially at Marvel--see Secret Wars II), a multi-title crossover on the scale of the Mutant Massacre (a title used in partial irony) was pretty new.
Claremont had been an editor for Marvel for years, and rumors were always circulating as to whether he would return and "rescue" the titles from their poorly-written existence.
