 The EXPANDING EARTH - Geology
This theory was the generally accepted scientific "truth" for most of the 20th century, prior to the general acceptance of a "Plate Tectonic" continental-drift theory in the late 1960's and early 1970's.
The north-west Pacific's oceanic crust is largely of Jurassic age and hence, in an expansion interpretation, was extruded from the mantle at a Jurassic palaeo-radius, and a correspondingly higher surface curvature (quantitative modelling, of pre-Jurassic Earth indicates palaeo-radius ~50 % present).
One of the most interesting implications of Earth expansion is that the volume of water in the oceans is increasing approximately in proportion to the generation of new oceanic crust.

 Expansion methods
Expansion methods seek to estimate the motion at all DOFs of a finite element model based on measured information (typically modeshapes or frequency response functions) and prior, but not necessarily accurate, information about the structure under test in the form of a reference finite element model.
In practice, static expansion can be restated in the form (4.9) where T corresponds to constraint or modes associated to the load collocated to the output shape matrix characterizing sensors (see chapter 6).
The weakness of static expansion is the existence of a frequency limit found by computing modes of the structure with all sensors fixed.

 continental drift theory
This expansion rate may be difficult to detect at the intermolecular level, but for an object the size of the earth, the expansion should be apparent as shown with a little further development of this idea.
Much of the lateral expansion of continents may have been taken up by vertical movements, (the latest evidence by the lithprobe of Canadian rock shows many large vertical movements) and other vertical movement may be attributed to the actual expansion of mass in the radial direction.
Expansion of stars: Since stars are gaseous their size is determined principally by temperature and mass.

The Final Theory - A Discussion with Mark McCutcheon and Others
In a nutshell, expansion theory says that the reason gravity is so indistinguishable from an acceleration is because it is acceleration, caused by matter expanding at an ever accelerating rate.
I'm sure he sees the Expansion Theory concepts that have been amply presented, but he feels that to just accept these new ideas is to base a whole new view of the universe upon medieval, naiive concepts that science was supposed to free us from.
And since evolutionary theory is absolutely crucial to any sort of attempt to reduce mind to cause and effect in a meat machine, once evolution is set aside as a source of an important and widely observed mental phenomenon, the counterexample simply destroys the theory.

The Third Wave: a New Definition of Gravity part 7—by Miles Williams Mathis
My theory gives the main part of the acceleration to the Earth and current theory gives it to the falling objects, but the question is the same.
Current theory recognizes that the E/M field totally swamps the gravitational field at the quantum level, but it assumes for some reason that it is near-zero at the macro-level, even in the vicinity of very large masses.
You do not need to accept expansion theory to see the logic of my postulates and math, but once you see how the calculations prove that the gravitational field is proportional to the radius, you have to re-examine the Standard Model.

 Theory of Gravitation Part II
In the present theory, the expansion discovered by Hubble is due to a repulsive force, defined by Newton's Second Law of Motion, that is constrained by Newtonian gravitation.
I reject this view in the present theory and hold that galaxies cannot recede faster than light and that doppler is the main phenomenon associated with the observed cosmic expansion and source for redshifts.
Brillouin's theory of self shielding of mass by the negative mass of its field may well account for what astronomers call dark energy, energy not seen but which is assumed from its gravitational effects, in the distant cosmos.

 ~@Com~|~~BIG BANG THEORY UNDER FIRE~~
The enormous expansion of the early universe at speeds far in excess of that of light, in accordance with inflation theory, is said to solve the BB smoothness problem.
Inflation theory, that is claimed to solve several of the major problems of conventional BBT, postulates a flat universe.(15) For that reason the significance of the missing mass problem has in recent years increased in the minds of those who support that theory.
It would seem reasonable to expect the expansion of the matter of a BB universe to be decelerating, but, if that is so, matter must have an increasing inward velocity relative to expanding space; or perhaps the expansion of both matter and space is decelerating possibly doubling the effect of gravity.

Effective field theory - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In physics, an effective field theory is an approximate theory (usually a quantum field theory) that contains the appropriate degrees of freedom to describe physical phenomena occurring at a chosen length scale, but ignores the substructure and the degrees of freedom at shorter distances (or, equivalently, higher energies).
The theory had great phenomenological success and was eventually understood to arise from the gauge theory of electroweak interactions, which forms a part of the standard model of particle physics.
In this case the underlying theory is the theory of electrons in a metal interacting with lattice vibrations called phonons.

Space expansion theory   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-06)
The UFO.ORG theory shows that the total universe is expanding and contracting, with the current observable portion of the universe expanding.
The UFO.ORG theory suggests that the acceleration speed of distant galaxies should be able to determine the curvature of space, That if Einstein's determination that matter curves space then the two approaches are akin to a simultaneous equation e.g., that matter further out may already be curving space which pulls the observable space outwards.
The basis for the UFO.ORG theory is that the fl hole is sufficiently large that the whole "universe" wraps from the exit point back around to the start so there is continual momentum.

This type of expansion would be more closely described as a series of chain reaction decompressions, like a billion balloons trying to expand inside one balloon at the same time.
Ubiquity theory tells you that if the universe began as a singularity of compressed Nerf that underwent massive decompression, then all matter would simply be the remnants of compressed Nerf, much like the fragments of paper blown about after that stick of dynamite exploded, as well as the compression fractures induced by the cooling process.
Simultaneously both simple and complex, the theory is non-the-less worthy of consideration because it not only takes into consideration the origin and governing laws of the universe but also binds them to the meaning of life.

Perturbation Theory   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-06)
As was briefly mentioned earlier, a useful way of studying theories that cannot be solved exactly is by computing power series expansions in a small parameter.
This approach, which is called perturbation theory, is the way superstring theories were studied until recently.
The genus h surface is identified as the corresponding string theory Feynman diagram.

Motorcycle Online: How Expansion Chambers Work
Each time the piston uncovers the exhaust port (which is cut into the side of the cylinder in two-strokes), the pulse of exhaust gases rushing out the port creates a positive pressure wave which radiates from the exhaust port.
These positive waves would follow the negative waves back to the exhaust port, and if properly timed would stuff the fresh mixture that was pulled into the pipe back into the exhaust port right as the piston closed the port.

 Corporate Expansion Theory
Expansion and investment are compared to have a clear understanding of how expansion for a firm and investment for a individual are similar to each other and how they differ with each other.
Expansion decisions do not depend only on the financial status of the firm, it is a strategic decision which is related to firm's objectives and mission.
We compared the expansion of a firm with the investment for a individual for the ease of understanding the phenomenon of expansion as investment is a well understood subject.

Times & Seasons » Updating the Expansion Theory
One of the strengths of the expansion theory is that it sees all of Joseph Smith’s prophetic translations as being of the same kind.
The expansion theory was really spurred in thought by the practices of pseudepigraphic authors, the midrash and the various peshitta and targums that are so common in Judeo-Chrisitian literature throughout its history.
I think the expansion theory is espcially important because it is more compatible with the information we do have about the translation process and (as Blake notes in the original post here) it resembles how Joseph received other revelations and translations.

PHYSICAL ANALYSIS SMASHES Space Expansion Theory
This Space Expansion was an assumption developed by Friedmann and supported by Eddington basically to avoid unpleasant philosophical concepts apparently impossible to verify.
With these tools, among others available, the concept of Space Expansion can be set against all the known laws of physics and then analyzed to see if there is any support at all for this philosophy.
While noting that for Space Expansion to work it must be stronger than gravity, we find that in order for this Space Expansion to affect our Universe in the way we observe it, Space Expansion must have a very unusual set of physical properties.

In the 1980's, results from the theory of automorphic forms were used to construct explicit families of Ramanujan graphs, that is, graphs for which Laplace eigenvalues satisfy strong inequalities.
The theory of arithmetic groups and representation theory of semisimple groups have led to results on the diameters and expansion properties of finite simple groups.
While there is now a proof of this independent of representation theory, the only known proof for specific "natural" sets of generators, even for SL(2,p), relies on the celebrated Selberg Theorem on the eigenvalues of the Laplacian on arithmetic hyperbolic groups.
