Experiential marketing requires a lot more than the ability to stage an event, slap a logo on an 18-wheeler or pass out samples and call it an experience.
Beyond the ability to create and stage an experience, experiential marketing agencies must demonstrate the same kind of specialized understanding of the experiential media, audiences (what we call Audience Alignment®) and experiential planning as would be expected in another discipline such as advertising.
For me that sums up why experiential marketing is so appealing, particularly in the current economic climate: because that face-to-face connection leads to results that are faster and more meaningful for the target.
