"EXPLORING: Exploring is the career exploration program of the Boy Scouts of America available for young men and women age 14 (or who have completed the eighth grade) through age 20...The result is a program of activities that help young adults pursue their special interests and develop career goals.

In addition to public schools (now that parts of Exploring are in LFL), LFL programs are operated in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, fire departments and other governmental organizations across the country.
BSA moved those participating in Career-awareness Exploring units to LFL and those in high-adventure (or traditional) Exploring units into a new BSA program called Venturing.
The BSA National Executive Board basically divided the current Exploring program into two groupings: 1) Career-awareness Exploring and 2) traditional high-adventure Exploring.

Another program offered for many years now is our Career Exploring Posts, which has continued to prove to be outstanding hands-on training, education, mentoring and leadership development for youth through area businesses, Fire Departments and Police Departments.
Exploring Posts are open to co-ed youth, ages 14 (having graduated from 8th grade), up to age 20.
New Exploring Post programs can be started by using almost any hobby or career interest.

Career Awareness Exploring was moved out of traditional BSA into a program called Learning for Life.
Note: The BSA Exploring Program was revamped in August, 1998, and some Explorer Posts (notably high adventure and hobby posts, as well as Sea Scouts) were moved into a new program called Venturing.
Some of the career-oriented posts may change their emphasis to allow them to continue as high adventure or hobby crews, so we may make some mistakes in designating some posts as crews, and vice-versa.

I usually contact Senior Scout Programs Overview but I would like to get something on Exploring in one volume.
Does anyone know where I could get anything llike old manuals, books, patches or anything about the Exploring Division BSA, now Venturing.
