In 1980, in Minor Threat or Bad Religion or a lot of these bands, when everybody was in their incubatory stage, the anti-rock star thing was also a bi-product of the fact that you were exposed to one fiftieth of the people who currently exposed to this kind of music.
Following that album, Brett Gurewitz left the band to focus on running Epitaph Records and the band added Brian Baker, to take Gurewitz's place on guitar.
Bad Religion, simply, is one of the most important bands in punk rock history.

Fool's Gold: Ten Problems with Gold Mining Gold Album Action Pack Project Underground Publication
During the California Gold Rush, 7,600 tons of mercury were released into local rivers and lakes, resulting in neurological disorders and deaths amongst people exposed to this deadly toxin — at that time, mercury poisoning was known as “mad hatter’s disease”.
Their emancipation may be advanced by rejecting the system of hoarding wealth in the form of gold jewelry — a phenomenon which has boomed with the growing disposable income of the country’s middle-class — and paying it as a fee to get a man’s hand in marriage.
The gold mining industry generates an enormous amount of waste compared to its product: the 2,402 tons of gold produced in 1997 resulted in 725 million tons of waste, which was contaminated with metals, acids, and solvents, according to Worldwatch Institute.

TINA ARENA - exPOSEd in THE iZINE
Big albums usually ask big questions - both of the performer and the listener.
For Tina Arena, "In Deep" is a big album.
But it is an indulgence and a reasonably obviously marketing and career ploy that pushes Arena into a much smaller space than she should occupy and only shows half the picture at best.

Anastacia : Not That Kind - Listen, Review and Buy at ARTISTdirect
As revealed in the multiple pictures in the CD package and in the video featured as part of the disc's multi-media content, Anastacia is, in appearance, yet another teen dream with cascades of blonde hair and an exposed navel (though perhaps her ever-present, and ever-changing, spectacles are supposed to signal a higher intellectual content).
Despite her toothsome appearance, Anastacia may be too old school to break through in the U.S., though this album has been a commercial success overseas.
The only real misstep on the album is the inevitable Diane Warren adult contemporary romantic ballad, "Late Last Night," which forces the singer to rein in her voice, though even then she doesn't really negotiate its lyrical complexity.

Those who were exposed to the exceedingly high levels of nuclear radiation in the first 10 days when it was still a state secret, incuding unsuspecting visitors to the area, either died or have serious health problems.
It was this graphite fire that released most of the radiation into the atmosphere and troubling spikes in atmospheric radiation were measured as far away as Sweden - thousands of miles away.
Radiation will stay in the Chernobyl area for the next 48.000 years, but humans may begin repopulating the area in about 600 years - give or take three centuries.

 1991 Virgin Biography
A double live album recorded on the tour Exposed, was released in 1979, peaking again inside the Top 20 of the UK album chart, after Guilty had just failed to reach similar heights in the UK singles chart.
Among the guest musicians on QE2 were the highly celebrated Phil Collins, both frontman of Genesis and also a solo star, and Maggie Reilly, a greatly under-stated Scots vocalist who had impressed with a shortlived band called Cado Belle before Oldfield invited her to sing on the album.
Two of his albums have topped the UK chart, and one of the two was the second biggest selling album of the decade during the 1970's.

Prism was my first recording project, and with seven of the album's nine songs credited to me, I felt vulnerable and exposed.
Prism's self-titled album was released in May 1977 and became the first debut album by a Canadian artist to achieve platinum status in Canada.
In 1993 a revised "Prism" was formed to record the album "Jericho".

Rolling Stone : Foreigner's Double Vision
Jones, who is currently finishing work on a 5.1 surround sound DVD audio disc of the band's self-titled, 1977 debut, hints that Foreigner's next album may well reflect shades of the cutting edge global lounge and electronic sounds he's been exposed to by his stepson, noted New York DJ Mark Ronson.
And though Gramm and Jones remain committed to finishing a new Foreigner album (their shooting for next spring), both are happy to see their successful if often underrated history tended to with proper respect.
Jones recruited a new singer and cut a back-to-basics Foreigner album, Unusual Heat, while Gramm, having tasted solo success with two albums in the late Eighties, released a sharp, albeit not-quite-right for the times, pop-metal album with his new band, Shadow King.

 CD Baby: ALICE BIERHORST: Earthbound
Playing all the instruments herself and recorded to 4-track, this album is by far her most lyrical and exposed, along the lines of Springsteen's "Nebraska" or early Mary Lou Lord and Cat Power.
The bluesy "Spring" opens the album on a dark note, recreating the moment love breaks down.
World-weary in "Law of Averages", a Bowie-esque rock ballad that dreams of a better world, the album ends on a high note with the life-affirming pop of "Hallelujah".

Post-bound albums may have exposed page-ends at the spine of the album, or they may have a separate spine-cover which conceals the page-ends.
When using albums of this style, it is a good idea to preserve the negatives in a separate archival storage system.
They are very convenient and economical albums for regular-sized photographs, but unlike dry-mount albums, they restrict the size of the photos that can be stored, and they have a fixed page layout.

CoCo Lee’s second English album, ‘Exposed’, was officially released in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China on the 25th of March 2005, after having been in the works for two years.
The album reached No. 1 on the HMV Sales Chart in Hong Kong and sold beyond expectations, but soon after its release, record label Sony received an alarming notice from China announcing that the album is banned because of sexual lyrical content in the three tracks ‘So Good’, ‘Touch’, and ‘No Doubt’.
Even though the album is officially banned, the lyrics and songs are still being broadcasted and sung in China.

De La Soul: Three Feet High & Rising ---Ink Blot Magazine
The album didn't fare as well as its predecessors, but the back-to-basics approach of 1993's Buhloone Mindstate further exposed the group, along with A Tribe Called Quest, to collegiate and non-traditional hip-hop audiences.
Though the album received a surprising popular response, the group somewhat resented the bohemian label spawned from Three Feet and moved toward heavier content and an even quirkier, more off-beat take on topics like the music industry, hangers-on and lawyers for its second LP, De La Soul is Dead, in 1991.
This album marks the birth of the "hip-hop skit," for better or worse, thanks to genius producer Prince Paul.

The Offspring: Splinter - PopMatters Music Review
But when compared to many of the new releases by the current wave of bands, the album will be exposed as a half-hearted effort wringed by missed opportunities and wasted potential.
After a three year hiatus from their last recorded effort, the Offspring had an opportunity to close out 2003 with a killer album.
A resume of mediocrity might be somewhat more acceptable if balanced by frequency and regularity; however, a new album every two of three years warrants much keener attention to quality.

Also, these albums often lack interleaving, which is important to protect the surfaces of photos on facing pages from chafing on each other, or sticking together in humid conditions.

It is really a fun energetic album, certainly not up to par with some of their other work, but very solid.

Of their new material, "Cowboy Nation," a theme song of sorts, is satisfying, as is "Way Out West" and "Cowboy Way." For listeners who have never been exposed to cowboy music, this is a tremendous opportunity to learn all about it at the feet of a trio of fine players.
Just as important is the fact that Cowboy Nation knows the history of cowboy music and can talk about it just as intelligently as the band plays it.
A wonderful blend of old-time cowboy songs, country classics, and new tunes, this debut from L.A.'s top cowboy band is exceptional and highlights the talented Kinman brothers.

 The New Internationalist, 04/96
A recent album exposed the misogyny of macho music with mordant humour – the cover showed Diamanda lounging on a flash car's bonnet, knife in hand, ready, it would appear, to harvest testicles.
This attitude values the human spirit against the virus – whether the virus be HIV or social malaise – and is the crux of the album, a large part of which is dedicated to her brother Philip-Dimitri, who had recently died of AIDS-related illness.
The album closed with a chilling recital of The Lord is My Shepherd in a deathbed voice that gaps and wheezes for every breath, the reassuring words barely discernible.

Well, the difference between Michigan and Illinois is that the first album was about a place that Stevens knew, the Michigan he could lead us through, traipsing or straggling; the new one relies more on the history of the state, and many years ago zombies roamed the land that later almost birthed Abraham Lincoln.

Last year, during mixing sessions for the group's fourth album, Diorama, Johns was diagnosed with reactive arthritis, a rare and crippling illness which caused his body to seize up when exposed to infection.
And while Diorama -- a high-minded collection of progressive-pop songwriting wrapped in earthquake rock and extravagant orchestrations, including three arrangements by Van Dyke Parks -- became Silverchair's crowning triumph in Australia (best-ever sales, four trophies at the Aussie version of the Grammys), the album stiffed in America.
He played a guitar solo Hendrix-style, with his teeth, in "The Door." At one point in "Emotion Sickness," the Queen-via-Tool minisuite at the front of the 1999 album Neon Ballroom, Johns let out a big, four-bars-long howl that would have left the entire Fred Durst school of rap-metal barkers gasping for breath.
